"Ednaswap" was a band from Los Angeles, United States. They existed between 1993 and 1998. Although their output is relatively unheard of, Ednaswap songs have been worldwide hits when covered by other artists. Natalie Imbruglia's first single "Torn" was an Ednaswap cover, for example, as was Sinéad O'Connor's "The State I am In". The songwriting couple behind Ednaswap have also written for Madonna and produced songs for Sinéad O'Connor. Anne Preven, Scott Cutler and Scot Coogan went on to form the band Annetenna.

Congratulations to Anne and Scott for winning a Critic's Choice award for the song "Listen" in the movie Dreamgirls. They were also nominated for a Golden Globe for this song, but didn't win. Next up... The Grammys?? Who knows...??
There are certain groups whose music you can just lean back and let speak when your mind is frozen. Ednaswap was one of them.
There are too many people out there who just want syrupy bullshit poured down their through and some who go to the end of the world to find obscure music for a satisfaction that is not from the words, cords, sound, but in the act of obtainment. Ednaswap isn't for anyone of them.
I mourn the loss of Ednaswap more so than any other band that's been lost. So amazing and underrated and under-appreciated. Ednaswap was unlike any other.
One of the greatest most underrated bands ever. Only saw them once way back in the day, but that was all it took. Wacko Magneto is hands down one of my all time favorite albums.

Needless to say, i enjoy the orginal version more than any other version. What's up with you guys? Is there any new material? A new 'group'?
