Devolution is the result of no longer being able to play my drum kit. (well.... I could but I don’t think my neighbour down stairs would appreciate it quite as I do!?!) I could just get away with acoustic instrument, a small drum and a tambourine. The answer was obvious. The ancient music of the elders – FOLK MUSIC! It’s all very traditional but with a good strong beat behind it giving it a modern and very catchy twist. Add a chunky guitar, topped off with the delightful jangle of the mandolin and finish with layers of three way harmonies. Good fun Songs so catchy and simple you only need hear them once and they’re stuck. And of course chuck in some “HEYS!” for audience participation. You won’t forget this band in a hurry! contact edward@hanfrey.plus.com

Hi guys, dave from the Sweet Plums here. I don't know if you are aware but I write a local music blog called Green Man Music. I did a small write up of your gig at the Rolly here
hope you like it, feel free to post it, quote it etc but please credit the source. Have a read around the site, there is loads of new stuff just gone up.
Every time that we listen & write music... play an instrument... dance... act in a play... or work in some audio/image/video engineering process... something is healing inside...
When we share it with friends... something is healing all over...
Hi Ed. Just thought i'd say that the band sounds great! Fantastic songwriting as always! I listen to your previous demos a lot, but with the other musicians it gives your music a new spirit... The subversive sound of summer! Take it easy man. Have a good one, Toby
