....Hey, nice to see you
here at MySpace, nice to say hello, trade links, and if we're
curious, take in some new music. My page here in MySpace land is a sort
of extension of the singer/songwriter showcase I set up at my official website,
to promote some songs I have written and co-written over the years. Many of
these songs were written with other singers in mind, and the CDs I made are glorified demos of those songs, recorded with some excellent musicians at 7AWest Studio in Boston. They were
recorded over several months in 2001 in spite of heat, humidity, rain, sleet, snow, dark of night, lack of funds, 9/11,
and threats from the neighbors. :-) Info on who played what, song notes and lyrics, some additional audio, my bio and discography, photos and artwork, musician bios, interesting links, and lots of other relevant stuff can be found at the website. If you're a band or
singer looking for new material, great: give it a go,
I'd love to hear what you come up with. Hear more at EdRashed.com,
through CD
Baby.com and other vendors, or download tunes by the album or
one at a time at iTunes,
Amazon.com,
and other fine internet digital music outlets.
Enjoy!
CD CREDITS~ Many
excellent musicians joined me in making these tracks. For the detailed
credits on particular tracks, please visit EdRashed.com. You
can find the credits on the individual CD pages. Special mentions: David Tanury
plays most of the electric guitar tracks, Joe Potenza
is on bass for most tracks, Jack
Ezikovich on drums for all but a few tracks, and Kirk
Feather does most of the flute and sax playing.
That's Rich
Dubois on fiddle on “Can't Get To
You” and several other tracks. You can blame me for all
keyboard work. The musicians of THE RAGWAGON
BAND and friends joined me for several tracks. Versions of four of the songs
were also released on the Ragwagon Band's own debut CD, also
available here.
Ed LIVE ~ I'll
try to keep the band calendar current here, so stop by some night and say hello. I'll be on stage with some fine RI
bands: Band of Brothers, that's always a party! Come hear my new 4 piece Rock and Roll project,
((((The Repercussions)))), formerly known as The Rest. What with some fill-ins and solo gigs coming up, plus my weekly battles with a cranky (but beautiful) pipe organ at St Thomas More Church in Narragansett, you could say I'm keeping pretty busy singing and playing these days, but that's the way I like it. ....

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4
