ROCK FOR HOPE TEAM TOUR TO CARDINAL GLENNON CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL
On Saturday April 4th the Rock For Hope Team went on a tour of Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital , to visit the children and hand out Rock for Hope Teddy Bears. There was about 40 rooms with children ranging from newborn to 10 years old. It was an experience that I'm sure none of us will forget , but there was one child who really touched my heart. She was about 7 but very small for her age. As we walked into her room I seen this frail little baby surrounded by her family. She was laying on her left side not moving at all.. As I walked around to the foot of the bed a menber of her family told me that she can not move on her own. So I walked up to the bed side and looked down at the little girl it made my heart ache. Then I knelt down beside her and when I looked into her eyes I could see the years of pain for just being 7 years old and her face told story of all sadness in her little life. I took her small hand in mine and handed her a little white teddy wearing a t-shirt. As she read the t-shirt the teddy was wearing I seen her eyes light up just a little and On her innocent little face I saw a smile. I left that room proud that I created the Rock For Hope Concert and I am grateful for all of the caring individuals who shared this experience with me.
