Ed's Interests
|
| General | reading, art, tattooing, music, Fender jazz basses, and constantly trying to learn new things. | | Music | I get down on my knees every night and thank the good lord for the Black Crowes, the Allman Bros, White Zombie, John Coltrane, Gram Parsons, Alex Chilton, Leonard Cohen, the amazing Ronnie Spector, the Rolling Stones, Waylon & Willie and the other Outlaws, the Faces, Pearl Jam, Hayes Carll, but mostly the Blues...blues music is like religion. | | Movies | Anything directed by Scorsese,or Werner Herzog. Lots of others, but my taste in movies is like my taste in pizzas. The gourmet ones are awesome, but the frozen ones are pretty damn good, too, you just don't compare the two. | | Television | The Hitler Channel, The Serial Killer Channel, some Law&Orders (I love watching supermodels put criminals away), but I do not watch the tattoo shows. They're t.v. shows folks, it's not real life. | | Books | Amy Hempel, Chuck Palahniuk, Bukowski, Jon Fante, John Steinbeck, Howard Zinn, Chomsky, the list goes on and it is looong. |

About me:
I have a wonderful life that keeps me very much amused. I have a beautiful wife who has more energy and kindness in her than anyone I've ever met. Without her support I don't think I would have had the guts to pursue tattooing, which has been a passion of mine for years. I have always made my living with my art in one way or another, but tattooing is what I was meant to do. It is an art form, the ultimate art form if you ask me. People are my inspiration and skin is my canvas. I live in St. Louis and I own Hidden Ace Tattoo in Barnhart, MO. Come on down and see me!

Who I'd like to meet:
His Holiness the Dali Lama, Amy Hempel, the guy who invented squeezable mayonnaise, people who are passionate about something that they do, Filip Leu,Howard Zinn, the wiener dog who wears a turquoise hoodie that I see every morning when I pick up Don (who wears a wide variety of colored hoodies)
