Estas se grabaron en el año 2003.
Pertenecen al ciclo de canciones populares brasileñas recopiladas y arregladas por Laurindo Almeida; al ciclo de 6 canciones infantiles de Benjamin Britten y a una serie de seguidillas de Fernando Sor.
Las canciones brasileñas son producto de una investigacion realizada por Almeida en todo su país, y a posteriori las hizo conocer en todo el mundo con su esposa (soprano) como cantante.
Las canciones de Britten forman parte de una música escrita especialmente para ser ejecutadas en las tabernas.
Y las de Sor formaban parte de la costumbre de cantar canciones populares en los entreactos de las zarzuelas.
En esta grabación actuaron como cantante la soprano Carla Musetti y quien escribe, el guitarrista Eduardo Dall'Ara.
