In October '04 founder members Christopher Taylor (singer) and Oliver Jones (bass), whilst painting Oliver's kitchen, decided to write some songs.
CT/OJ soon drafted in mutual friends Oliver Smith (guitar) and Jim Beadle (drums).
After months of work 12 original songs were ready.
A debut gig was played to a crowd of 120 at The Lord Nelson, Thirsk on 17th December 2005.
Since then it's been writing, recording and gigging.
Education's high points to date were first single "Cool As You" getting played on RadioOne in November '06, and supporting Damien Dempsey in Oct '07.

We're trying to Impeach our Illionois Governor today ....easier said than done, although he is (to borrow a phrase from some well known British musicians) : "Just a man in a suit" he seems to be defending himself with every fiber of his Senate-seat-sellin-soul. Time will tell. Please check out my latest song 'Little Blue Boat'
The noise is pretty Loud here at the New Year's Eve Album Release Party, but I found a quiet corner to type for a moment ~ A very Happy New Year 2009 to ya Gentlemen! Stop by and enjoy 'Old Club' and 'Better Days' when you get a chance.
Chris and Company, Hello Good gentlemen, Listening to Buy to Let ~ I love it! No wiggle room in those lyrics = you’re telling it as it is, and it sounds like the Housing dilemma is as big a problem there as it is here. On this side of the pond we hyper inflated the cost of houses and then approved ludicrous loans to anyone with a pulse, now millions are facing foreclosure. Anyway, sorry got off track there. Great song guys! I’ll check out others later on - must go feed cats before they eat each other ……although, …that would take of that chore wouldn’t it
Son of Sam, It's a Wigan thing with bossa-nova/folk/power epic/skiffle all influencing the song in some capacity. Watch out for our Christmas song coming soon entitled 'Bollocks to Christmas' It's a Bobby Dazzler!
Gentlemen, Let us ponder the vicissitudes of Life. If only briefly …..and from the point of view of Sting’s Bass. Impossible you say? ….Well, yes, it probably is. But have a great week anyway.
