About me:

My new novella LIVING STONE is now available to buy from The Genre Mall. Published by Sam's Dot Publishing, it's a vampire fantasy set in the East End of London. Click on the cover art to read the synopsis and purchase.

My name is Edward Cox, and I'm a writer of Speculative Fiction. Since 1999 I've had an abundance of work published in the small press, including short stories, poems, articles and reviews. I'm a reviewer for SAM’S DOT PUBLISHING where I'm also a project editor.

I’m currently living in the English countryside with my wife and two cats, where we’re surrounded by fine greenery and spiders the size of your hand. I have a 1st in a BA Honours Degree in creative writing, and I’m conducting an MA in the same subject as we speak . . . or type . . . or whatever.

I’m hoping that MySpace will put me in touch with other writers around the world, and perhaps even introduce my work to a wider audience. Details on my career, and info on where my work can be found, are listed along with links and news on My Website

Who I'd like to meet:
Readers, writers, film makers, lyricists, dancers . . . anyone with a passions for stories.

NOTE TO ALL POTENTIAL FRIENDS: Although I understand the nature of MySpace, and don't wish to seem grumpy, if you do not accept codes and links on your space, please don't look to put your own on mine. Friendship is all about sharing, right? And it never hurts to swing by and say hello :)

Chicks Dig Scars - Chapter One

Chicks dig scars, everyone knows that, right? Meet Severence DeSnappio, a man who creates ‘fake’ injuries for desperate clients. He’ll get you a stab wound, shot gun blast, snowboarding injury - but a bite from a great white shark?

S
et in Miami, Chicks Dig scars is a lyrical, Lynchian mix of dream logic and hard boiled detection.

THE ABSENCE OF DEATH: A CONTEMPORARY VAMPIRE NOVEL

Jun 6 2009 8:18 PM

Perhaps the  rain that falls on me will wash away my sins
Showing where the darkness ends and where the light begins
Or maybe some sins  can't be cleansed and are what they must be
Threads in a larger tapestry that few are meant to see
The hunger burning in me now has never been this strong
I leave it to the  world outside to call it right or wrong
As every thing that walks the earth, I do what I must do
The trail of blood and tears I've walked has led me here to you
So give yourself to me this night, there is no need to fear
Make mine the only touch you crave, my voice all that you hear
Forget the stories you've been told of things beneath your bed
Rest in my arms and bare your  flesh, free yourself instead
Time blurs the lines once so defined that divide wrong from right
There is no life, there is no death...we own them both this night
Some things are written in the blood and always meant to be
So cast away your childhood fears and take your place with me.
I am life..I am death..I am pleasure..I am pain..I am eternity.
I am Vampire!

"Nobody grows old by merely living a number of years. People grow old by deserting their ideals. You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt; as young as your self-confidence, as old as your fear; as young as your hope, as old as your despair."
