Edward Albert (1951 -2006) was a much loved figure -- officially a celebrity through acting (with over 70 movies and TV series, plus a golden globe, to his credit) he has made an impression on our hearts as an environmentalist, humanitarian and overall inspiringly beautiful human being.
He has saved many Native American sacred sites and areas of natural beauty from development, most notably Malibu's Escondido Falls and trail, which was named after him in honor of his successful efforts to make it a national park.
As a boy he helped ban DDT with his father, environmentalist/actor Eddie Albert.
Throughout his life he was offered many interestingly extreme situations to help others, occasions to which he always rose. From saving two kids in an overturned car he passed on the freeway on the PCH to helping author Samantha Dunn when she lay with a broken leg and gushing blood after she was thrown by her horse in the canyon for which he was later named (she wrote a book about the experience and its aftermath called "Not By Accident," creditting Edward for saving her life...it's quite good if you're looking for a good read and also like interesting Edward tid bits...)
To know him was to love him. He virtually crackled with fire and magic, with eyes full of oceanic depth.
We will never recover from losing him...but we can form a circle of love around his memory.
The songs on this site are his original material, and that's him singing. They were just casual recordings we made around the fire, but they're all I have, and I share them with you now, hoping they will uplift you, as they do me.

Edward, time is moving by so quickly. Its so hard to believe that it has been over 3 years since you left us.. I wear an angel on my shoulder, it reminds me of you and of all your goodness.. I have no doubt that you have your wings up in heaven, since you were an angel here on earth. Merry Christmas you and your dear family.

I sit here on this day, the 3 year anniversary of your passing and my heart sheds tears as do my eyes. You are so greatly missed dear Edward. I have lit a candle in Edward's memory, at the top of the webpage where it says candles initials put EA and where it says group initials put BB to find it.
There is an canopy of grief that will always hover over me for as long as I live but through that canopy there is a light where my tears turn into crystals reflecting a rainbow of hope, and that light was and will always be you Edward. In my darkest hours when I could neither run or smile all I had to do was watch you on TV and my heart grew wings. Thank you Edward for getting me through a very bad childhood. I shall cherish every breath I had with you. Though there will be bumps in my road I will strive to walk in beauty. Bless you beautiful angel..I will love and miss you always! My prayers and love are with you beautiful Tai and your mother during this anniversary.
Oh dear warrior, you left behind a great legacy, when I look at the warrior standing on the cliff with Jeses, I see the pround face in that warrior, as I see in you. You truely have a native-american spirit. RIP egg!!!!

Edward, you were loved by many, but I know personally that you were not only the light of your mother's life, but the love of her life. Though today, your loved one's arms are empty for you, your mother surely has her arms full, wrapped around you and your father. This life is a given gift, but it's here only to move us closer to a higher plain, where we will reunite will our love one's, and the circle will then be completed!!!!!!
What a wonderful tribute to your father. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing his birthday-and his life-with us. So many of us whose path crossed his miss him desperately. He's the reason there is a "Band of Angels" (BOA). Here he is at a convention wearing a BOA t-shirt and if you look very closely, he's wearing an angel pin inside the logo. As we continue his legacy, we try to help others 'walk in beauty' no matter what the circumstances are. Happy Birthday, Edward, your angels miss you SO much!
