Edward Box is one of the UK’s most respected hard rock and metal guitar players. In 2002 he released his debut album PLECTRUMHEAD to great critical acclaim. In an era when audiences were turned off virtuoso instrumental guitar playing Edward broke ranks to help spearhead the revival that is currently in vogue.
In 2004 he appeared alongside Greg Howe, Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal and Richie Kotzen on the THE SPIRIT LIVES ON: THE MUSIC OF JIMI HENDRIX REVISIITED/ VOLUME 1. In 2006 he released his follow up album MOONFUDGE and continued his rise through the ranks of UK guitar.
Early in 2006, Edward formed his first all vocal project Vendetta and in 2007 they released their debut album TYRANNY OF MINORITY to stunning reviews. Currently considered one of the leading lights in the burgeoning New Wave of Traditional Metal (NWOTM), Vendetta are set to release their second album HERETIC NATION on November 6th through Lion Music.
As well as fulfilling his numerous live, recording and teaching commitments Edward is also a columnist for All Out Guitar, the world’s leading online guitar magazine. He performs regularly at The London International Music Show in his capacity as one of their main staff. On top of this he is also one of the judges of Guitar Idol, the world’s largest and finest search for new guitar talent.
