I am the writer, singer and half-assed guitarist for the band know as KNOTWORKING. The group offers dust covered songs from the rust belt about characters lost or sliding.
I also sing with my old pard Kelli Rae Powell in a duo known as EDWARD CALLS KELLI RAE.
At last, there is BORN AT SEA. One morning there is rain, and the next there is sun. These days provide the perfect opportunity to salvage yesterday's gifts and walk with them. The members of BORN AT SEA express this notion through their music.The act includes John Atzberger on mandolin, guitar, and banjo; Bob Smolenski ..o; and my guitar work and vocals. Our songs reflect the habits of the waves reminding listeners that if you learn to give, you might replace all that's been taken away.
I am currently residing in my native city of Brooklyn, NY working on my second solo album while building relationships with a number of local artists.
btw - you may remember us as grievous angels (our full band). bobkat spawned from our trip to nyc and our open mic tour. hope to catch you the next time we're on the east coast.
hey ed, we met you at an open mic at the lucky cat in brooklyn in nov. of 07. we love your music. you gave us a copy of your 'coward' cd which we've played endlessly. this april we got married and bobby made a 10-cd compilation of songs as a wedding present which represented some of our most loved songs together. your song 'almost' was one of those songs. thank you. keep on living the dream man....B+K
