Post production has begun on our upcoming feature-length documentary about the late, reclusive artist/illustrator Edward Gorey. Shot from 1996 to April, 2000, it follows Gorey through the last years of his life in a cinéma vérité style that chronicles everything from play rehearsals to dining at his favorite hangouts to idling at his home in Cape Cod.
Edward Gorey (1925-2000) gave to the world over 100 works, including books and theatrical productions. He is also credited with creating the opening animations of the PBS Mystery! series. His distinctively dark yet whimsical style has been immensely influential to contemporary writers and artists and his work continues to be beloved by admirers worldwide.
Mooncusser Films produces documentaries, educational programs, music video, and corporate / promotional media multimedia with passion.
