Edward Guglielmino = Big Brisbane Love in.
"Late At Night is a powerful statement, one that repays careful listening."
Noel Mingle Courier Mail
"Guglielmino's got the same singing style as someone like Ed Kuepper. Not a typical rock n roll voice, and maybe an aquired taste. But he has also got some fine ideas of how to flesh out a track..." Richard Kingsmill Triple J Music Director
"Edward Guglielmino leavens the heart-weary cynicism of his acoustic ballads with equal amounts of cheerfully self-deprecating banter in a charming set that never wears out its welcome." Demosthenes- Faster Louder.
"You've got to admire Ed's light-hearted cynicism; a casual and earthy sincerity mixed with a shrewd sense of humour. Ed closes the night with 'You are an Alien' with a long high falsetto reminiscent of Muse or Tom Yorke, but with perhaps more nostril involved, yet continuing to surprise his audience with a broken deep husk in the verses. Edward Guglielmino is a chameleon and a comedian, and proved to Melbourne that he's willing to metamorphosis at will, but he won't say the word 'f—k' because it's just too rock 'n' roll."
Jonathan B Faster Louder
"As his deep baritone alternates with soaring falsetto throughout the set it’s not hard to understand why Guglielmino has already drawn comparisons around town to the likes of Lou Reed and Jeff Buckley."RENEE MONTGOMERY Time-Off
"Late At Night is a progressive, often noirish album with a palpable intellectual edge and will go down a treat with anyone who eschews the radio waves in search of true art.”
(4 Stars) Justin Grey – Time Off Magazine
‘There’s no doubting the professionalism Guglielmino has brought to the table with Late At Night - even if you’ve never heard of him, upon hearing the album, you’ll probably wonder why you haven’t.”
Adam Dodd – Tom Magazine
‘Edward Guglielmino has crafted a cohesive, intimate and gorgeously obscure masterpiece, merely for the fact that whether he recorded a vocal take in a hotel room or in the early hours of a subway in Rome, he has remained authentic as an artist and a true visionary.”
Jonathan B - Faster Louder
"Guerrilla gigs, snarky emails and generally doing whatever he wants onstage, this type of action is only excusable if the music is good enough. Upon listening to Mr G’s diffuse and caustic new album, I now give him permission to unleash his inner eccentric."
Mitch Alexander – Rave Magazine

this Friday (July 10) we're playing a gig in west end at a little place called cafe checoco on hardgrave rd near where tongue and groove used to be. we've got 20 copies of our new cd to sell. it's called handbag which is also the name of our band.
you don't have to pay to get in. the music starts at 8, we're on 9 and last act is on at 10. tom and anna and j-ho will be there before 8 if you wanna join in the early stages of the party. it's a very small place so if we get 10 or 15 people coming along it will be a bit crowded and the people in the audience may be outnumbered by the musicians. well, we'll be able to say we've played to a packed audience. other acts are davey spicer and hawk & t-bone.
G’day super trooper – just letting you know that I am playing on Friday August 7 @ The Wheatsheaf in Thebarton. I’m on at 9pm – entry is free. I will be supporting Joe Murphy and band.
Be great to see ya – if not ... I guess I won’t see ya. You level of rocking is adequate so rock on – Palky
"Also hugely enjoyable, highly original AND psychically useful is the
music of Australian duo The Scrapes, whose fiery epic guitar and
abandoned Mithraic fiddle pieces evoke images of lost Keltic lands
inundated by the oceans, lost Iberian & Armorican sea peoples and
lost times from beyond the beyond." Julian Cope
Hey there, sorry to be one of those people but here's a bulk message... from the heart.
We're hitting the road with friends 'The British Robots' and travelling all along the east coast. Our 3rd show (in 3 nights) is Brisbane, we're going to be at The Clarence Corner Hotel on June 13th (8pm) with 'Brass Razoo' & 'The Jim Rockfords'.
