Welcome to my world. As a sideman, I've been fortunate enough to
make a good living playing music, and am now able to enjoy the gift
of playing the music I want to play.
I am lucky to be backing some truly gifted and special artists, most of
whom I have been with for many years.
Some great recordings I have done as a band member I am proud of
will be released this year.
Influences
Chad Smith's Bombastic Meat Bats , this started as a just make some
good music, nothing else, and it's taken on it's own life.
We have a nice Japan tour in April, and the record is slamming, check
out the youtube links.
We cut the record live with a few overdubs in four days, and it has that
great spirit that happens when people play together.
CTA's Full Circle, is already out, a great update on some of the band
Chicago's tunes, with original Chicago drummer Danny Seraphine, and
an all-star line-up- CTAtheband.com,great band,great music.
Kristine W's Straight Up With a Twist is due out later this year, I
arranged and flipped a bunch of her hits and a few covers including
Stairway to Heaven done acoustic R+B/Jazz style, we cut the basics live
in 2 days- acoustic piano, upright bass and drums! I am also on her new
1 Billboard hit The Boss.
Glenn Hughes has a new record to be released this year, warm, organic
and soulful, He has the huevos to record the music in his heart, and I am
happy to add some rhodes and clavinet to it.
I am really excited about finishing a solo record, all that is left is mixing.
The general vibe is funky jazz, just a lot of melodies and always a groove
and plenty of sex.
I have had so much help and love from my friends on this, great and
renowned musicians themselves, they include: Danny Seraphine, Steve
Stephens, Rock Dedrick, Jimmy Roberts, Chris Mostert, Mitch Manker, Joe
Calderon, Aaron McLain,Rick Musallum, Daniel Pearson, Syd Alston,
AdrianD'Aguilar, Phil Chen,Cassio Duarte, Marcel Adjibe.
Halfway completed is a straight ahead jazz record with some nice flips of
pop tunes- me-acoustic piano, Joe Calderon- nylon string guitar,Jimmy
Paxson- drums, and Carlitos Puerto-upright bass. Nice phrasing, spaces,
and some unique re-harms.
Last, I am diving into a solo acoustic piano record, can't really put it into
a category box- some jazz, some classical, maybe I was influenced by the
Brasilian music I heard growing up. Real simple melodies, just trying to
play from my heart.

I am particularly excited about performing a set of Led Zeppelin music with a group of musicians that know how to deliver this music. Joining me for the set will be Chas West (The Jason Bonham Band) on vocals, Mitch Perry (Edgar Winter Group) on guitar, Sean McNabb (Great White) on bass and Edward Harris Roth (Glenn Hughes) on keyboards.
September 25, 2009 will be the 29th Anniversary of the passing of Led Zeppelin's mighty John Henry Bonham (31 May 1948 – 25 September 1980) and the Led Zep Set will be performed in his memory and dedicated in his honor.

Hello old (young) friend! Thanks for the add. Good to see that you are remaining busy in the biz. I left Palookaville about 8 years ago, and now work in the Music Dept up the the University here, managing our main performance facility. By my calculations that makes it 11 years since I last saw you!! And yet you don't look like you've aged!! Anyway, I hope all is well with you, and if you get a chance I have an artist question for you on IM or email or whatever works.
