Influences
From......Green Day and Pearl Jam to Motley Crue and AFI, from Rob Zombie to Combichrist, from Nine Inch Nails to Placebo, from Depeche Mode to Prodigy, from Sisters of Mercy to Rammstein. Edwards No.8 cater for all new rock, classic rock, goth, ebm, industrial and electronic music.
Eddies is back! From October 3rd/October 4th we will be in our new permanent home on Gough Street (near the Mailbox), Birmingham.
Our intention was always to find a perfect replacement for the old Edwards No8 and now we believe we've found it.
Eddies will be open every Friday and Saturday Night, featuring a big 500 capacity Rock Room with a stage for us to put on bands on a regular basis. There is also The Dungeon downstairs which will be the Goth Room, where we will also have bands on from time to time. There is a third room, The Bar, which will have '60's, '70's and '80's Classics on Fridays and Classic Rock on Saturdays.
With all of your support, we have been able to keep the Eddies name alive after the fire with our nights at The Newt. We now hope we can repay your support by giving you and Birmingham the Rock Club you all deserve.
Our normal club opening times are 10pm 'til 3am, unless of course on the days we have bands on, then we will be opening earlier as we used to at the old Eddies.
Hahaha, we took a couple of photos of me pointing at the white poster schedule thing like "OH MY GODZ LOOK WHAT THIS HERE POSTER SAYS!" And one of the outside (the staircasey thing by the doors). It got us mega excited about next month, can't wait.
Lolololollololololol etc. My friend and I (after I scribbled in biro the most epic and in depth map EVER) went over to Eddie's yesterday so we knew where we were going next month for D'espairsRay.
We apologise for pointing at/taking pictures at the posters you have up outside that say D'espairsRay and jumping up and down repeatedly.

WHEN ARE THERE GONNA BE HARD ROCK-GLAM/SLEAZE BANDS AT THE VENUE???
The Glam scene isn't dead and IT is DEFINATELY on the rise again - and with new nights popping up all over the place playing the good old stuff and getting bands that bring crowds and masses to their venues - then why isn't Eddie's capitalising on this??!!!?? The lovers of this re-growing scene can't stay at Scruffy's or keep travelling to Nottingham and Coventry from Birmingham all the time to get a fix!! REMEMBER - THE OLD EDDIE'S USED TO THRIVE ON THIS WHISKEY FUELLED SCENE BACK IN THE DAY!!!
COME ON YOU LOT - LET'S GET IT SORTED!!! GIVES US LOT A GOOD NIGHT AND A LIL' LESS OF THAT SCREAMO STUFF THAT WE ARE SUBJECT TO ALL THE TIME! x
Thank you to 'presely' for making the eddies night awesome by having guest dj's etc with Kik and apoptygma berzerk come down. was good stuff compared to the let down with the legion night. so thank you. xx
