It was really nice seeing those of you that showed up to the party.
Hopefully if we do a 20 year there will be more people there next time! Next time lets get a band and have some dancing!

Huh, I guess I should have checked this more frequently. I just found out that it was cancelled, I would have tried to get off work for the pre-party had I known it was the only party. Oh well.
I'll see you guys 10 years then I guess?

So why was it cancelled? I guess no invitations means no one goes? I hope no one bought non-refundable plane tickets, or at least can make it into town by Friday.

Just to let everyone know the Aug 22 Friday night event at American Legion is still on. We are not the official reunion, but can now be the informal/formal reunion. It is $10 a person, $15 a couple and we have free beer and a cash liqour bar. Email: jhndricks@gmail.com for info and the evite.

Does anyone know if mailed invitations are going out for this? I have ran into over 15 people that aren't on myspace and had no idea we are even having a reunion.

Since, technically, I graduated in '97, couldn't you just scratch me off the '98 reunion invite list permanently? That'd be super! Good luck with the reunion...peace.

Jada Hogg evilleclass1998@hotmail.com

FYI Jada has such a heart for this that she forked out $1000 of her own money to hold the place. If you are planning to attend you should get your payments in asap.

Registration is $65/person

Too much drama! If you want to go to Windows, go. If you don't want to spend the money, go to Rusty's.
I am quite sure that both will be fun! See you people there!

I don't think people are really complaining about $65/head being too much money for a reunion. I DO think the issue is that people took the survey thinking that their opinions would actually matter! In my specific situation, I live in California with 2 kids. That means 3 plane tickets ($750), a hotel for 2 nights ($120), a rental ($100) and two dinners at Windows ($130). Okay, adding all that up is $1100 and that does not include drinks for the night! So, if you don't live close, the $65/head is somewhat of an issue when you factor all the other expenses in. If you live close, have no spouse or kids, then the $65 is a breeze! I just thought the survey was a way to satisfy the opinions of the class of 1998 and obviously it wasn't!
Also, some people may have other, more important expenses to spend their stimulus package on than a class reunion!

My hubby and I plan on attending but with 6 kiddos things are never set in stone. Why is everyone complaining about the $65.00 a head? Your stimulus package from the IRS will more than cover it!!!! I think it was an excellent choice to have two dates so those who don't like the more expensive can still meet and greet at Rusty's. Honestly, I probably won't attend Rusty's but will be at Windows.
Hope to see everyone there!!!

Let's just do the the damn thing. The point is to all get together. Who cares if it is formal or not. I know I spend $65 a night boozing so who cares. Lets just try and make it as easy as we can for more people to show up. I'm coming in town either way so just make a decision and stick with it. The people that want to come will come. If people stay in the ville we will see you after the dinner.

Okay the Price of the City is Speaking.....

Are you kidding, we have been out of school for 10 years and does it really make a difference where we do it... Ask around see what other have done. Schools go all out and make a weekend out of it. We were the first class to come out of the New High School....I am sure I am not the only one that has busy planner, but I am willing to take a few days off so that I can see some people that I probably dont even remember. So who ever is in charge do whatever you want, you cant make everyone happy, I heard that people were upset over a few dollars....ARE YOU KIDDING, you knew this year was coming you could have save a dime a day since we graduated and feed a kid in Africa or had plenty money for the occasion; and since I still see starving kids....it looks like you should have a few bucks.
