No one from his New York City neighborhood in The Bronx is surprised to see Edward Tyll on stage making people laugh.
Catholic-schooled and street-raised, Tyll is the only child of Italian-American and Polish-American parents. As a kid his life revolved around stickball, the New York Yankees, his rock and roll garage bands, his Bill Cosby comedy albums and The New York Daily News.
No matter where he was or what was going on, Tyll was cutting up and never shutting up.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, Tyll went on to Law School. An accomplished debater and a passionate speaker, Tyll realized he was more entertainer than attorney.
Tyll appears on network TV and hosted a syndicated radio show heard in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, Detroit, Atlanta, New Orleans, Seattle and many other major cities. He is the voice behind national advertisers including The Ford Motor Company.
Tyll’s sense of humor and his hyperkinetic delivery come to him naturally. He is a story teller, a social critic, and he moves as fast as the pop culture he loves, on and off stage.
Tyll lives in New York City and performs at The Grisly Pear in Greenwich Village.

After years as a talk radio host, nationally syndicated to almost every U.S. city including Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Detroit, Dallas, Miami, Seattle, Atlanta, New Orleans, and as a featured guest on network TV shows like ABC's INTO THE NIGHT and FOX's PERSONALITIES and THE LEEZA GIBBONS SHOW and CNN's TALKBACK LIVE, I decided that I wanted more creative freedom than was available at the time in commercial broadcasting.
Hosting pro shows at Sal's Comedy Hole in Tribeca and Greenwich Village, I enjoyed working with headliners like Dean Edwards from Saturday Night Live, Mark Theobald from Chapelle's Show, Al Lubell from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Show with David Letterman and Rick Shapiro from HBO's Lucky Louie.
I started headlining "MAD BOY" comedy shows at The Village Ma on MacDougal Street and The Village Lantern on Bleecker Street.
I worked with Todd Lynn, Patty Rosborough, Rick Crom and Ed Ayres on the Mid Life Meltdown Comedy Tour that premiered at The Broadway Comedy Club and played at the Wings Theatre in Greenwich Village.
After almost two years on the road somewhere between Grand Junction, Colorado and Macon, Georgia playing for some people eating, drinking and trying to forget their day by having a few laughs, I am back home in New York City performing weekly in Greenwich Village at The Grisly Pear, Thursday nights at 730.
