Eets Feats plays real loud, trebly, noisy rock music. “Zombie” is pretty garagey, only has a few notes in it, it’s catchy, rhythmic, has some gang vocals in the chorus. I dig it. “Skull Wash” is kind of on another thing though, it’s a real huge tune, kind of epic in scope. Slow, thundering drums, a soaring washed out lead guitar line, some vocals trying to break through all the noise, it’s a thing of beauty. Kind of a monolithic tribute to the Pixies or something, surf-y in the same perverse way as that band. The song doesn’t really even change or evolve all that much, but I don’t really think it needs to. They explore a lot of other sounds in the tracks on their myspace but it’s all understated in comparison. I really like “Skull Wash”. -Overnight Sensation http://hit-record.handglops.com/ ......
