Effacer is john mcCaig. He has been producing electronic music since 1992. With work released on his own panicRecordings and the ever growing Audiobulb Records, his sounds are treated like physical event in time, to be constructed and deconstructed like sculpture.

1 -- soft note: taken from the Effacer EP The song was created in 97 using csound, specificly the PVOC and SNDWARP functions.
2 -- atoll, grand mal: created for Kikapu's giant ambient compilation Wein, Weib und Gesang, it was created using my patented "dish washing machine dither"
3 -- RHIC: created using Symbolic Sounds Kyma system (an ambient composers dream), using a walcom tablet to draw in real time various time stretching techniques.
Feb. 2010 will mark the second year that has passed since I got in a fairly bad car wreck (completely the other person's fault).
I ended up with a large gash over my eye, severely bruised knees, and pain in my upper spine, that I still have to this day and I'm sure will have the rest of my life. The lady in the other vehicle apparently passed out and the ambulance took her to the hospital. Both vehicles were a total loss.
Why do I mention this here to you? Only because I was playing your CD (with the toothpicks) right when it happened. Anyway, I liked that album a lot and it was ruined in the wreck, and I need to replace it. The thing is, I listen to mp3's 99% of the time now and don't want to buy anymore CD's, I also refuse to use Itunes. Any plans to release your albums on Amazon or anything like that?
Hoy! Here is a chance to get an exclusive peak at my remix of Fujiya & Miyagi's 'Dishwasher' which is the b-side to their next single released in April.
Just a quick note to say that "through the trees" has been added to the subLAD MySpace player - it's the first track on my forthcoming album, entitled "where the land meets the sky".
We have also put up a preview of the whole album on the n5MD website:
Have a really great weekend ahead & I hope you get a chance to listen in to tomorrows music special on the TDFZ Radio Show Warmest wishes & keep Dreaming Chris
Ya know, you and your page are what MySpace is all about.
You ROCK!
"The Season" is nearly upon us. When you're in the mood to blast some techno Sugar Plum Fairy, or chill out to Arabian Dance, you know where to find it!
