I've participated in this event for ..... 3 years now???? Wow time flies =D and somehow I ended up a chairperson on the planning committee! So come out and join me! Volunteer shifts are available Wed. the night before for set up and prep and T-day shifts start as early as 6am. =) The event ends at 3 and breakdown should be done by 6pm. Come early stay as long as you'd like and still have time to see the family. So if you'd like to do something to warm the cockles of your heart and make you feel all warm and fuzzy because you've done a great thing this holiday please call the volunteer line and sign up for a position. ****I personally need a ton of help from my Make Up Artist friends so write me back if you can offer your services in the Styling section on Thanksgiving Day where we'll have hairstylists, clothing donations and eye exams. =) Or dig through that crappy gratis that you'll never use and find me some lipsticks, glosses and any products that can be applied with disposable applicators. ; ) And if you can "find" supplies to donate I'll promise to love you forever - lip applicators, cotton pads, alcohol, sharpeners, tissue, paper towels, Purell, sponges, cotton balls, Q-tips...... and so on. If you can get it we can find a way to use it. This is my department - my baby - and if we can get this stuff donated then I won't have to ask to tap into our monetary donations which should be used to feed the community instead. But once we feed people we want to help them feel better about themselves so dig deep and see what you can come up with. love yas!
