Big Daddy, Mr. Efizzy is also known as the Number One Alhaji or better yet, the only “Molato” in the industry. He is a gentleman that poses as a source of temptation, even more so than regular Alhaji. However, his names are attributed to him due to his style of rap. Mr. Efizzy has the ability to syncopate over faster afro hip-hop beats. In order to fully understand the talented artist that is Mr. Efizzy, one only needs to listen to his music.
Mr. Efizzy was born Cosmas Tope Iyaki and is originally from delta state but was raised in Oshodi, Lagos Island by his mother. He is the last of 5 children. He attended Holy Cross primary school and then Government College, Ikorodu for his secondary education. He moved to the States in November 2003 to study computer science. While in the States, Mr. Efizzy met Jay Cube aka voice of Africa. Together, they began the journey that became their musical careers. Originally working under the banner of the group Apexx, Mr. Efizzy decided to branch out and work on his first solo album under B.B Entertainment.
Thus, as a solo artist, he is relatively new in the industry. However, he is a movement to be anticipated. Based on his prowess as a rap artist, Mr. Efizzy promises to be the best new thing in afro hip-hop. Look out for his first solo album coming soon!!!
