Probable influences: early stuff from Duran Duran, Lush, U2, and Simple Minds; throw in some Nine Inch Nails, Enigma, Moby, Simon & Garfunkel, Gordon Lightfoot, Moody Blues, and Nick Drake for good measure. I would just like to say that Ladytron is great, but not an influence (yet).
Sounds Like
Some nice people have said my stuff reminds them of The Church. Others say "Sandra's Alive" reminds them of Joy Division, and "Look Into My Window" reminds of Leonard Cohen. I'll take it!
Eggs in the morning believe that good music should be beautiful, but it doesn't have to be "perfect". And great music must be inspired, not contrived. The songcrafting on this CD did not come out of a music industry "factory".
