Egraine was born in 2002, when J.I. "McLeod" Solano -drummer at the time- decided to create a new folk/viking metal band along with his brother A. Solano (guitars). In order to find musicians for this effort they recorded a demo -Faeries Abound (2002)- that not only fulfilled its purpose but also got nice reviews from the local media. In 2005 Egraine signed a record deal with Spanish label GOI Music and entered the studio soon after. The album “Once lost.. now found” was recorded in IC Studios (Madrid) while mixing and mastering was done in Finnvox Studios (Heksinki) by T.T. Oksala and M. Jussila.
A promotional tour “Once lost... now found on the road” (2005-2006) visited several Spanish cities (Madrid, Salamanca, Granada, Zaragoza...) and gave the band the chance to share stage in the Piorno Rock Festival with bands as Samael, After Forever, Dark Funeral or UFO. Soon after it was decided to slightly change the sound of the band and make it closer to melodic death metal.
Currently the band is recording a new demo that shows where this new course is leading.

Egraine nació en el año 2002 cuando el batería J.I. "McLeod" Solano, descontento con sus anteriores proyectos, decidió formar un nuevo grupo con su hermano, A. Solano (guitarras). Compusieron algunas canciones que mostraban el concepto musical al que Egraine aspiraba: metal melódico y rápido, con influencias folk. A finales del año 2005 salió al mercado el primer álbum autoproducido (mezclado y masterizado en los estudios Finnvox de Finlandia) "Once lost... now found" bajo el sello GOI Music.
Tras la gira “Once found... now lost on the road” (2006) por varias ciudades como Zaragoza, Salamanca, Toledo o Madrid y en varios festivales, entre ellos el Piorno Rock donde tocaron junto a bandas como After Forever, Dark Funeral, Samael o UFO se decidió cambiar levemente el rumbo de la banda y endurecer su sonido aproximándose al death metal melódico sin abandonar las raices folk que constituyen Egraine. Para ello, se incluyó una segunda guitarra prescindiendo de los teclados.
Actualmente, la banda se encuentra alternando directos con la grabación de una demo adelanto de su segundo trabajo de estudio.

イグレインは、当時ドラムの担当だった J.I. "McLeod" ソラノが、2002年に弟のA. ソラノ (ギター担当) と新しいフォーク/バイキングメタルバンド結成しようと決めたて生まれました。ミュージシャンを探してくるためにデモを録音。Faeries Abound (2002)-がそれです。この曲は当初の目的を果たしただけでなく、地元のメディアから優れた評価を受けました。2005年には、イグレインはスペインのレーベル GOI Music とレコード販売契約を結び、スタジオに入りました。 アルバム“Once lost.. now found”がマドリッドのIC Studiosで録音され、ミクシングと仕上げはヘルシンキのFinnvox Studiosで T.T. Oksala と M. Jussila によって行われました
“Once lost... now found on the road” (2005-2006) のプロモーション・ツアーでマドリーやサラマンカ、グラナダ。サラゴサなどスペイン国内の数都市を廻り、 Samael、After Forever、Dark Funeral や UFO などの人気バンドとともにPiorno Rock Festivalに出演。まもなくバンドのサウンドを変えることが決定され、メロディックなデスメタルに方向転換したわけです。
バンドはすでに新しいデモ、My Defeat (2008)の録音を完了しており、僕たちの新しい路線がこれで分かるかと思います。これから新曲を作り出しながらも、ライブでのパフォーマンスを続けていきます。もっともっとメタルを演ります。こまめにチェックしてくれると嬉しい。
