Better Than You's Interests
|
| General | Oh, you mean IN ADDITION TO getting laid? Gotcha. Well.....
- My family - My wife is my reason for being and without her, I'd either be a drunken drug addict, a shut-in mental case, or dead. My son, who is in kindergarten and is getting involved with soccer & karate (when he isn't getting in trouble at home, lol). And my baby girl, who will be 1 year old in February, she is just too precious for words. For pics of the most nausiatingly beautiful children on the planet, check out my pics.
- I crave deep, stimulating, and intelligent conversation/debate about, well, ANY good topic. I just ask that you know what the hell you're talking about and aren't just running off at the mouth with what your cousin's uncle's next door neighbor's teenage skank trollop daughter told her Wednesday night boyfriend this week, OK?
- I generally try to keep up with worldwide current events and to get both sides of the issue so I can draw up my own conclusions and/or gripes.
- I love to sit out on my deck on clear nights and just stare up at the stars and ponder our existances and how they relate to the grand scheme of things universally (this is usually even more enjoyable following a few tokes of a fine hand rolled marajuana cigarette).
- I run a computer repair & services business out of my home, so I try to keep up with the "masters of foresight" at Microsoft and whatever other technological "breakthroughs" and/or "refined/improved" current product is out there.
- Philadelphia Eagles football (oh yeah, and those other Philly sports teams).
- I LOVE cartoons. Old school Looney Tunes (unedited, not those Ted Turner butchered, politically correct chop shop versions), The Fairly Oddparents, Family Guy, Drawn Together, and just about any others.
- I've developed a strong urge to play poker as of late, and I've been refining my Hold 'em & Omaha games both online and with the occasional low dollar game with my good friends in Philly.
- I'll add more as I remember. Maybe. If I remember to. | | Music | All things Rock - classic, alternative, hair, metal, grunge, punk - you name it, it's probably on my iTunes list. Anything is okay really, just please don't play that hypocritical "family values" drunken pseudo-patriotic crying hillbilly hee-haw trucker music around me - it makes my ears bleed and my dick limp. | | Movies | Action & comedy - any & all action & comedy. No chick flicks, tearjerkers, feel-good-about-yourself films, etc..... just mindless sex, violence, nudity and idiocy for me, thanks. Those of you that know me may be thinking to yourselves, "You forgot porn, you sick bastard"! - Hell, I thought porn was a given..... | | Television | NCIS, Chappelle's Show, Numb3rs, Mind Of Mencia, Law & Order SVU, Drawn Together, Naruto, pro wrestling (soap operas for men), a few Discovery Channels and History Channels shows here & there, cartoons with the boy on a regular basis (or without the boy, it's all good), football (E-A-G-L-E-S-Eagles!!!!!), SNL, & the news - whenever I actually get time to sit down long enough to enjoy a show, that is. | | Books | I don't read many books nowadays - maybe the Kama Sutra or a cookbook once in a while. I'm more into keeping up with current events, like politics, scientific discoveries, new technologies, Op/Ed columns & articles, basically any newsworthy items (IMO most items in the news anymore are anything BUT newsworthy, but I still read about them and make fun of them as I see fit). | | Heroes | Heroes are people that run into burning, even exploding buildings to save a life, or even a dog or cat.
Heroes are people willing to take an oath to serve & protect the public, even if it means potentially eating bullets from various wrong-doers with better and more powerful weapons (yes, even those that aren't very honest in and/or not too humble about their position of power).
Heroes are the quick thinking people that show up in ambulances to various unfortunate scenarios to keep the injured alive, work on limiting their pain and suffering, then rush them to the heroes in the Emergency Rooms to further the patients' well being and start them down the road to recovery from their trauma.
Heroes are the countless men and women that trudge out of their homes 5 mornings a week, get in their cars, drive to and walk into neglected and forgotten inner-city schools in neglected and forgotten inner-city neighborhoods that barely seem fit for prisoners, much less children (steel window grates hiding broken glass, profane graffiti covering the walls, and/or bullet holes in the doors), and in spite of receiving no respect from either the misbehaving students OR the ignorant parents that demand that they correct all of the things their children do wrong (usually because of the parents own lack of ability to take responsibility to get their kids on the right path in the first place), lacking proper and needed materials to educate said ungrateful students, making less money than the guy that hocks hot dogs and beers at the ball games, having their hands so tied up by frivolous lawsuits and silly rulings that discipline can't even remotely exist in a classroom environment without armed guards present, having to fear for their safety when going to their cars to leave after all the students have gone home, and reading though and grading countless assignments and exams on their own time, they are STILL and wish to REMAIN teachers.
Heroes were those men that jumped out of boats on Normandy Beach, WILLINGLY no less, to do their part to remove a genocidal madman from power and end his quest for world domination.
We as human beings often tend to over-praise those that are atheletes, scientists, race car drivers, etc., and knight them as heroes. They may certainly be inspirational by overcoming the odds and worthy of their accolades, but are NOT heroes in the true sense of the word. They are doing their jobs to the best of their abilities, just as you and I might try to do when we go to work everyday, and we are not dubbed heroes for it (nor should we be), nor should they be.
Those individuals that I've described above, THEY are the ones that truly deserve to be called heroes. |

Who I'd like to meet:
...either the overwhelmingly generous and sickeningly wealthy relatives that I have yet to discover, or a warehouse full of extremely attractive females that are SO hot for me that they develop bisexual tendencies amongst themselves while waiting for their turn to help gang-rape me and create the most amazingly incredible orgy ever conceived - either/or/both would be okay.
Other than that, the following would be just fine by me...
- Swingers (we've indulged ourselves a few times before, you never know when we may want for such carnal acts again :-D )
- Intelligent folk that can hold a conversation without drooling all over themselves (you don't have to be Stephen freakin' Hawking, but at least have a clue)
