    GENRE: ROCK/INDIE ALL ORIGINAL MATERIAL STATUS: UNSIGNED January 2009… taking shape ~ Ian, Andy and Sean decided to form a band. They were joined by Kris Boyle on drums. A band to rock the toon! Ian’s lyrics had the effect… nae covers required for this band, thank you! The songs were coming thick and fast. The sound was there and then some. But what to call it? Back to the Tay Bridge Bar and a lengthy, energetic ‘discussion’ on a name ensued, (wi’ a few beers). Possible names were put forward which either got replies of nah! or eh! Eh? … oh eh! For those not in the know ‘eh’ is much used in the Dundonian vernacular: Yes as in affirmative, aye, yup, yah, etc. I as in me myself Eye as in ocular So there you have it….EH! (Pronounced: sounds like Yeah – without the ‘y’) February 2009… the first gig ~ The Underground, Dundee to an amazing response and The EH! Clan were formed… the fantastic crew of loyal supporters. April 2009… the first demo ~ The band recorded their first demo at Upstarts Studio in Dundee with Tony James producing. September 2009… line up change ~ Kris left the band and was replaced on drums by Paul Connelly… let the sticks do the talking. February 2010… the first EP ‘ON IT’ ~ The band recorded their first EP at Prism Studios, Stoke on Trent with Shaun Lowe on production... in only two days! Shaun has worked on projects for the following artists: Sting/Lisa Marie Experience/Wild Cherry/The Drifters/Chic/Bambo/Sash/Theme to The Mask of Zorro/Marlo/Archie & the Instincts/Bill Wymans Rhythm Kings/Big Country/Imperial Vipers/Prince (data from http://www.prismstudios.co.uk) EP release date 3rd April 2010 at The Doghouse EP Launch. The band are going from strength to strength... highlights have included recently supporting Ocean Colour Scene acoustic gig. They are looking forward to supporting Chris Helme (ex Seahorses) and to playing the OXJAM music festival.

    We are very grateful to everyone who supported our bid to win a chance in the finals of Hog The Stage… thanks to you we actually came second place in the number of responses, out of 138 bands! Amazing! 


    However, sadly, we did not get selected for a place in the final. We wish the bands who got chosen the best of luck.

     

    However, onwards and upwards… we have some other irons in the fire! And we need your help again!...
