Samples, Zitate und Ausschnitte, sowie das Spielen mit diesen Elementen in Bricollagen, sind in der postmodernen Kunst und Kultur ein wesentlicher, bestimmender Faktor.
Auch wird in Zeiten von Internet und digitaler Kopie das Besitzen-wollen von digitaler Musik immer mehr zu einem illusorischen Konzept. Digitale Musik lässt sich innerhalb von Sekunden kopieren und rund um die Welt verschicken. Neue Vertriebswege für Musik müssen gesucht und gefunden werden.
The idea of owning music in the digital world is an impossible one. Music can be send all over the world within seconds and no DRM can change this. Music should be free, and there should be other ways to deal with it.
Also the ownership of music rights is not good for post-modern music and music-business. Today’s music lives from samples and playing with them. Creativity seams to be a crime nowadays. Samples should be free.
