Eight Count (www.eightcount.com) is the dance ministry at Great Exchange Covenant Church (www.grx.org). Their eight-word mission statement is "To glorify God through the art of dance." Eight Count dances everything from hip-hop, step/stomp, breakdancing, modern, jazz, lyrical, body worship, and more. They have performed at churches, youth groups, universities, corporations, charities, fundraisers, and the like.

Main Stacks is now having auditions for our summer training program, Summer Stacks. If you chosen from the audition process, you will be able to train with Main Stacks starting mid-June until the end of August. You will be expected to attend practice about twice a week for the duration of the summer session. There will also be performance opportunities at the end of the program at events like UC Berkeley’s Caltopia and Calapalooza. Other outside performances are also a possibility.
All members of Summer Stacks and current Main Stacks members must re-audition again in the fall. Making it onto Summer Stacks does not guarantee an official position for the competitive season starting this fall, but we highly encourage any interested members who will be in the bay area for the summer to audition for this great training opportunity.
Summer Stacks auditions will be held on Wednesday, May 20 at 6 PM at Lower Sproul on the UC Berkeley campus. You will be learning about a 4-eight count piece and audition the same day. A short interview may also take place for prospective dancers. Decisions will be made within the week of auditions. Summer Stacks will also be expected to pay summer membership fees.
If you are unable to make these audition date or will not be in the bay area for the summer, we highly recommend you keep up with us at our website: http://mainstacksdance.wordpress.com. We will be holding our fall auditions either at the end of August or the beginning of September.
