Influences
Hamilton-based band's full-throttled sound is a throwback to classic, real Punk and not, as bassist Dusty Bryant calls it, "that ever present slosh of leftover sausage gravy in the fridge that local radio is calling Punk Rock." Bryant also compares the band's live show to "a ship full of drunken pirates preparing for mutiny." Ahoy!
BEER, WHISKEY , RUM , AND DARK HOLE IN THE WALL BARS
Eighty Sixed was formed in 2002 by a group of friends that wanted to play punk rock and drink beer. In 2005 Eighty Sixed reformed and focused on more than getting drunk and playing punk rock. Eighty Sixed became about writing interesting punk rock songs, making new friends, and keeping a scene alive in Cincinnati and southwestern Ohio. In two short years Eighty Sixed has vaulted to the top of Midwestern music community sharing the stage with national and international acts such as The Adicts, The Dwarves, The Queers, The Murder Junkies , Time Again and Mobile Deathcamp. In, 2007 Eighty Sixed was nominated for an award for best punk band for the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards. Eighty Sixed has been known to blow people away with John's hard fast guitar, Dusty's extreme bass lines, Troy's hammering drums and the harsh reality of Quentin's lyrics. Eighty Sixed has been compared to The Circle Jerks, Bad Brains, Minor Threat, D.R.I, MDC, Poison Idea and Black Flag. The future for Eighty Sixed is unlimited, but all the members are commited to putting on the very best live show possible while writing songs that help people see the world around them.
HARDCORE PUNK ROCK
EAT IT!!
Dirty Jack’s is committed to making sure that you earn the money you deserve. We are capable of paying you more as a local band than any other venue you are currently working in the Greater Cincinnati, but we all need to work together to do it! This event was created to hear what we have to offer you and for you to offer up your suggestions and give us your feedback. We hope to plan more events similar to this on a regular basis.
This night is dedicated to the great musicians of our fair town and we offer you a chance to come in, drink cheap, interact with your local music community and see our club with no cover if you have not had the opportunity.
Dirty Jack’s is located at 5912 Vine St. in Elmwood Place, right in the middle of the 275 loop and 1 mile north of the P&G Ivorydale plant (St. Bernard Soap Company). Street parking is available as well as in the municipal lot located at the northwest corner of the club at Linden and Vine.
Please visit our website at www. dirtyjacksrocks. com for more detailed maps and for more information on the club. Please email us at outrageousproductions@gmail.com if you have any other questions that you would like us to address.
