Eimear started playing the violin at the age of seven in her native Belfast, Ireland. After completing her music degree she moved to the North West of England to develop her career both as a teacher and as a performer/writer.
The songs and instrumentals heard above are from the set list of her exciting new live project. She composes, sings, plays the violin, whistles and keyboards on the tracks heard above.
Eimear is the credited fiddle player on the Sound Track of the
'Bob The Builder movie 'Built to be Wild'.
In 2006 she made an appearance in the movie 'Half Light' alongside Demi Moore which is now available on dvd. She has recently come back from a UK tour with the modern Irish dance and music show 'The Essence of Ireland' with the band she is in, 'The Bogtrotters'. Her music has received many great reviews from BBC and other Folk radio stations in Ireland and The UK.
All of the songs heard above have been receiving airplay on BBC Radio Ulster with Gerry Anderson, Sean Coyle and Eamonn Friel. George Jones on Belfast's U105 has also complimented and given airplay to her song 'Come Home'. Eimear has guested on the shows of Tommy Sands, Lisa Flavelle and Phil Brown.
As well as being a musician, Eimear is an actress and presenter in Cheshire. She is on the books of Urban Talent at Nemesis, Manchester.
When living in Belfast Eimear landed the lead role in the BBC Northern Ireland screen play 'Cafe Society.'
