well... i've started playing in bands about 15 years ago. now i'm trying to do something on my own as well. this is what comes out. i'm playing some drums, guitars, basses, keys and many other things i find laying around here... i'm mixing them together... adding vocals coming out of my mouth, telling words coming out of my head that sometimes don't make any sense at all...
that's about it. hope you'll enjoy!
at the moment i'm working on several songs together with other myspace artists. this is really fun! i'm not sure what's gonna happen when all the songs are finished...
so if you're interested in taking part - feel free to drop me a line!
hey, habe nun eine Idee, hör Sie Dir mal an und lass mich wissen, ob wir da was zusammen machen können. Würd mich freuen.Hast Du heut schon in den Himmel geschaut?
So I put out a free LP to get some of the names i'm working with out there... Caused some major noise. They mentioned you too!!!
Check it out! Keep in touch!
Chicago Inferno Review
DJ Phonetics' "Junk Mail Surplus" Release date: Apr. 11 4 Flames out of 5
DJ Phonetics' debut album is quite the opposite of junk mail. DJ Phonetics uses "Junk Mail Surplus" as a metaphor for all the duplicated messages being communicated in music today. "Junk Mail" shifts away from generic mainstream hip hop, and digs into the roots of poetic rhymes, mixing classic jazz, blues and old school beats. On "Yesterday," Phonetics raps in collaboration with a vocalist reminiscent of Natasha Beddingfield and Regina Spektor. The album also features a performance from German musician Ein Astronaut, who also worked in collaboration with Phonetics to create the sound for some of the tracks. However, the poetry on this album are all of Phonetics' own efforts. "Junk Mail" contemporizes the classics that will be of appeal for both young and old. It's an album that will be of appreciation to those that dig good vibes and poetry. Songs to check out: "Yesterday," "Breeze" and "Blue Drum. "
:::::what an honour to be friends with an astronaut! i like your sounds, they remind me a little bit of some radiohead tunes but have got their unique style, still! all the best . anina
