(2001-2007) - During that time the band was called "Phex". The sound was hard to categorize, but it was generally Groove Death Metal in a way with Ambient touches
Previously known as “Phex” for 7 years (2001-2007), this project is the brain child of Muhannad Bursheh from well known Jordanian bands “Tyrant Throne” & “Augury”. Under that moniker, just like M Bursheh’s other bands Phex managed to become one of the best renowned Metal acts in the region with 3 demos & a solid album of quality work. Never the less, in late 2007, the project’s name was changed to “Einherjer Rising”. The main reason behind that is the new sound that doesn't fit with the old moniker at all, hence, a much stronger & more representing one was chosen.

2001: 1st effort; electronic demo "Experiments 00-01"
2002: October, "The Black Vision" Demo
2003: February, "Spirits and Devils" Demo
2005: July, "Transfixion" album released
2006: Phex plays live gigs with the help of session members
2007: (Late) Project name changed from "Phex" to "Einherjer Rising"
2008: Preparing 2nd full-length album
Einherjer Rising/Phex has shifted between different styles & genres; from Electronic Music in “Experiments 00-01 (Demo 2001)” to general Extreme Metal/Ambient on “Transfixion (CD 2005)” passing by Death/Doom Metal in the demos between. With the name changing into Einherjer Rising & the upcoming album (now in pre-production), the project is now fixed & focused on Black Metal musically, yet it will remain experimental adding influences from Death Metal, folk & ambient music. Lyrically, the focus will be set on both mythological & symbolical concepts.
