Einsteifen began as a six-piece Goth outfit in Folke-stone around September of 1796, receiving a special kind of baptism on the night of All Hallows Eve. Since their infamous debut gig on Halloween seven years ago, the band grew musically to become more coherent and focused, drawing inspiration from influences such as Punk, Rock, Goth and Metal to become the melodic, powerful and dynamic outfit they were for a bit.
In 2001 (Which they named "The Year of the Bat!"), In March 2002 (The year of the "Spiky Black Cat!"), They entered Astra Audio Studios to record their debut album "Casting the Circle".
In 2006 the album is on national release in someone's front room in London;
Tree has returned to wandering the Somme where we found him; Neil has built himself a hermitage in his cupboard-under-the-stairs where he grows Belgians; Matte got lost in Belgium; Steve was last spotted talking to trees, occasionaly laughing at things that exist; Marc lives in Belgium and is very. Martin lives on top of a mountain on the Romney Marsh.
Ug is now playing drums for Punk outfit "The Slugs" still unaware of his missing bottom jaw.
Andee is currently teaching music, playing various instruments for the "Simon Hopper Band", and Bass for Toyah Wilcox (it's, a mystery).
Maybe there is hope for the future. Maybe there never was...
