Sculpting, maskmaking, many other kinds of art (doing and viewing), fantasy and sci-fi, singing, reading, hiking, nature, creative people, Creator God. (The foregoing list is not inclusive and not stated in order of importance. Void where prohibited. Not available in all stores. Batteries not included. Consult your physician before using.)
Music
I've been listening to more classical music lately -- Mozart, Beethoven, Bach etc.. Two of my favorite musicians are Japanese: Yuki Kajiura and Yoko Kanno. I love Celtic music, certain movie soundtracks, the Beatles, Norah Jones, Jars of Clay, Tracy Chapman, PFR, U2, Sixpence None the Richer, and an eclectic mix of many others. iTunes' shuffle feature is my friend. :-)
Movies
Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Chronicles of Narnia, Serenity, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Pan's Labyrinth, Mirrormask, Tomb Raider, The Matrix, X-men, anything by Jim Henson (may he rest in peace), The Last Unicorn, most any anime by Miyazake, various other anime. My favorites tend to be fantasy and sci-fi, and sometimes dystopian.
Television
Firefly... Alas! that such an engaging and wonderful show was canceled (but now I can watch the DVDs whenever I want). I'm into CSI (Las Vegas), when I happen to be watching... which is usually during dinnertime. *wicked grin* I also like various anime series, including Cowboy Bebop and .hack//sign (awesomest soundtrack ever). The absolute best "reality" show on TV is Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. That show does a lot of good and touches me deeply. (I'm not usually one to cry because of a TV show, but this is an exception.) :-) I don't watch much TV, actually; it's generally a time-waster. But a scant few shows are worth wasting a little time on. Addendum: Dollhouse is being interesting....
Books
The Firebringer trilogy by Meredith Ann Pierce, A Wrinkle in Time (etc.) by Madeleine L'Engle, many books by Stephen Lawhead including the Pendragon cycle, the Belgariad by David Eddings, The Stone of Farewell by Tad Williams, and many others. My favorite recent acquisition is Arthur Spiderwick's Field Guide to the Fantastical World Around You. Tony DiTerlizzi's drawings are awesome -- a must for fantasy fans.
Heroes
Jesus of Nazareth. I admire many other people, but to a much less and not quite heroic degree. Besides, He's the only One I actually worship. :-)
Who I'd like to meet: Creative people and collectors/admirers of created things. Positive, uplifting, genuine people. If your page reeks of negativity or revels in eeeevilll, please don't bother adding me -- there's way too much of both in the world.
I always read your page before accepting an add -- and if I can't figure out why you're adding me (i.e. we have no obvious common interests, or you have a private profile), I may click "deny," so please drop me a note first telling me the reason for the add. (Besides, I like to know that you're a real person, if you know what I mean.) Please don't add me just to raise that "friends" number. Thanks!
I REPEAT: IF YOUR PROFILE IS SET TO PRIVATE, OR IF WE DON'T HAVE OBVIOUS SHARED INTERESTS, PLEASE MESSAGE ME BEFORE YOU ADD ME OR I MIGHT DENY YOUR REQUEST. If you don't message me first, I might get the impression you didn't bother reading my page. ;-)
Just FYI, I am a Christian, not a Pagan. (Some people seem to assume I am a Pagan because I create fantasy art. I don't dislike Pagans or anything, and I don't deny invitations from Pagan individuals as a rule; just be aware that I am not one before inviting me to join Pagan groups.)
A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS: When leaving comments, please don't include 20 pictures in a long string (or pictures that are a million pixels wide). Even if they're lovely, I'm not likely to allow huge comments, simply due to the clutter factor. I also don't usually allow comments with videos, or apps, or requests to join games. Thanks! :-) (I do like comments with beautiful pictures though -- I *especially* love it when my artist friends grace my page with their original artwork.) ;-) If you're posting art you didn't create, please make an effort to give credit to the artist, if you can.
HI!! I am back from WA, and I had a GREAT time! We missed last Sunday because Billy's little sister is going to Japan(she's in the Marines) for 2 years, and we had a farewell BBQ for her. We should definately hang out soon. Billy is still working(knock on wood) and I would really like to practice my bowling. I'm going to join the Transplant Games and enter in Bowling. The Games are next July/August, so I've got a little over a year to improve my game!! I'll talk to Billy, and see what our plans are for this weekend. I think his cousin is having a BBQ on Sunday afternoon, but maybe Saturday if he's not working?? I'll get back to you!
Heya. I can'tcall if I responded previously or not, but yeah, once finish I will post it somewhere I guess. I've been busy with the ceramics side of things and haven't found the time to finish it as yet, which is kinda frusrating as it probably wouldn't take too long to finalize.
Just checked out your gallery. Didn't realize you had some sketches up. Awesome.
MY DAUGHTER JUDY MAKES THESE BEAUTIFUL LITTLE CREATIONS.. I WANTED EVERYONE TO SEE THEM. IF YOUR INTERESTED IN BIDDING ON ONE PLEASE GO TO THE ADDRESS POSTED UNDER THE PICTURE.. THANK YOU MY FRIEND. HAVE A LOVEly EVENING
Hey thanks for checking out my new site. As you mentioned, I came to the realization that the less distractions not only looks more professional... but the clean white makes the detail and colors pop. After all it is about the artwork.
... I love the new piece Erin! The detail in the face is amazing... definitely gave me a laugh, and I can always use that. What is the size of that one?
