About me:
Born in England to Indian parents, my love of Cuban and Brazilian music took me to those countries to study dance, and that's where I found my voice as a poet. Eisha's multimedia shows, SeaSuite:Ultraviolet and Inner Birds & Outer Birds have played at nightclubs, music venues and theatres all over London and at the Edinburgh Fringe (InVasian). Featured artists [Inner Birds]: Eisha Karol (poetry and feathers), Nila Raja (Indian vocals), Lean Rodrigues (percussion), Sian Hender (cello), Annika (flamenco) and Sarah Swinfield (contemporary dance); [SeaSuite]: Sandhya Sanjana, Celine Wadier, Nila Raja, (Indian vocals), Imran Ahmad (soundtrack), Carolina Esteves (flamenco dance), Steve Abu Nab (tabla) and Arne Sjogren (film) [Guest artists: Unnati, Kalia (vocals), Morai Tribal Dance, Sarah Swinfield]
Current projects include a magical short film set in Andalucia. We Are the Blues, a poem inspired by Silvestre dance technique, was featured in Roots of Bahia in Toronto in August, see www.thelivemusicreport.com
