"Eiskristall“ möchte mit der Musik jegliche Form von Kälte in der Gesellschaft, auf der Welt und darüber hinaus ausdrücken. Das kann das Innere eines zerstörten Menschen abbilden, eine vereinsamte Eiswüste beschreiben oder auch eine stählern-kalte Großstadtsilhouette an einem nebligen Wintermorgen widerspiegeln.
Musikalisch drückt sich das in dynamischen Songstrukturen mit melancholischen Melodien und Texten aus, die teilweise auch Übersinnliches, Legenden und persönliche Lebenserfahrungen verarbeiten.
Als Symbol und sozusagen als „Erkennungszeichen“ wurde dafür das Bild eines Eiskristalls gewählt, welches auch als Inspiration für den Namen diente.

Geschichte:
2006
Gründerin und Ideengeberin von „Eiskristall“ ist La Sonnambula, die nach einer musikalischen Pause im April 2006 endlich zurück ans Mikro wollte. Nach ein paar Monaten und einigen Wechseln fand sich im Oktober 2006 der „Kern“ der Band zusammen, bestehend aus La Sonnambula, Florian an der Rhythmus- und Timm an der Leadgitarre.
2007
Genau ein Jahr später erhält die Band von Ex-„Another Tale“ Trommler Reinhold Heßling die dringend benötigte Unterstützung am Schlagzeug, als festes Mitglied allerdings nur für wenige Monate... Florian musste wenig später die Band aus beruflichen und persönlichen Gründen leider verlassen.
2008
Im Januar 2008 hat sich „Eiskristall“ mit den Musikern von „Subcutaneous“ aus Köln zusammengeschlossen, die für einige Monate das erste komplette Line-up bildeten. Doch nach einigen Konzerten war auch hier die dauerhafte Zusammenarbeit aufgrund der unterschiedlichen Einstellung zur Band beendet.
Seitdem geht es bei „Eiskristall“ mit einer Art „Familie“, bestehend aus zuverlässigen Gastmusikern an Bass und Schlagzeug, weiter voran.

“Eiskristall” wants to express with the music any kind of coldness in society, the world, and above. This can be the inner life of a psychotic person, a lonely ice desert, or the description of a big city skyline on a cold and misty morning in winter. Musically its expressed in dynamic song structures with melancholy melodies and lyrics about supernatural things, old legends from all over the world and stories from personal life experience. As symbol and a sign to be recognized by we chose an ice crystal which served also as inspiration for the name.

History:
2006
In spring 2006, singer La Sonnambula decided after a break to get back into the music business and founded the complete new band “Eiskristall”. After a few month and many changes the first basis line-up was complete: La Sonnambula, Florian on rhythm guitar and Timm on lead guitar.
2007
Since October 2007 “Eiskristall” was supported by ex-“Another Tale” drummer Reinhold Heßling but only for a few month… At the same time Florian had to leave the band because of vocational and personal reasons.
2008
In January 2008 “Eiskristall” teamed up with the musicians of “Subcutaneous”, a metal band from Cologne and the first complete line-up was born. But after the first concerts this relationship was brought to an end because of personal problems in the band. Since then “Eiskristall” is going on as a “family” with reliable guest musicians on bass and drums.
