    As far back as she can remember Erica (Ej) has always been in the entertainment business. At just three she joined the professional Dance Training group in her hometown, The Little Star Shanghai Ensemble, and by the age of 5 she had made a name for herself in both dancing and ballet with the highly respected New World Dance Troupe. This led her to many TV shows and large scale festival appearances. When she was 10 the family emigrated to South Africa and took up home in Johannesburg. Erica was naturally excited at the prospects a new Country offered but she was severely shaken when she and her mum were robbed at gunpoint whilst travelling home late one night. The assailant smashed the window of their car and pointed the gun directly at Ej’s head whilst forcing her mother to hand over the contents of her purse and jewellery. Naturally enough young Erica was frightened out of her wits finding herself just a finger click away from death, but in that moment she fully realised the importance of living out your dreams while you can and just how much she wanted to pursue her dream of singing and dancing professionally. That moment became her driving force, has stayed with her constantly and she is convinced the feeling will never fade. She has now moved to London for the next stage of her career. Erica has performed in local and National Chinese events, appeared in TV commercials for the UK & European Markets and landed a part in a Hollywood movie, Shanghai, which is currently in production. This year Erica came 2nd out of a group of over 700 who entered a UK wide Chinese TV singing competition called C Star. Now, following the overwhelming audience feedback she received throughout this series, Erica is about to release her first single on iTunes. With her distinctive voice and ability to sing and converse in English, and still only 19 Erica is surely set to take on her UK born contemporaries with this release. The tracks are: ‘Free & Single’ and ‘Not So Innocent’. Both are Now available on ......
