Brighton based EJ Norman delivers songs of pure synth-driven melodrama, evoking overheard arguments in tacky small-town nightclubs, the wistful dreams of escape imagined on lonely railway bridges, and the precise moment when you realise that a love affair is dead in the water.
Since arriving on the Brighton scene in the summer of 2005, EJ has had success on both on a local level and beyond.
In Brighton & Hove, EJ has performed at The Cella, the Pressure Point, The Engine Rooms, The Prince Albert and Sussex Arts Club, delivering her own unique brand of melancholic synthesizer/electro pop. EJ's live act often includes guest performers , who add a unique energy to the performance and perfectly compliment EJ’s silky, sexy vocal style.
Beyond Brighton, EJ has appeared at Music Live, the UKs largest music trade fair held at the Birmingham NEC, at Electro nights in Manchester and Southend, and twice at Wittstock Rock festival in Oxfordshire.
As well as performing her own material, EJ has also worked with a break beat music producer as guest vocalist, and appeared at The Cella's Access to Music acoustic showcase nights, performing acoustic versions of her material.
In 2007, EJ was invited to contribute to the Sparks tribute album “A Rainbow Over the Freeway”, and to perform at the album launch in Madame Jojos in Soho – gaining her new fans and acclaim.

EJ also conceived, managed and promoted “Dream Sequence” – an electro/art collaboration that ran for 5 consecutive months in 2007 – giving Brighton music and art lovers something unique to do on a Thursday night, and providing opportunities for musicians and artists from all over the country.

Hi EJ Norman, thanks for continuing to be a friend of Electroflex.
Some important news!
Electroflex have been back in the studio following a break from gigging and recording with new track ‘Computer Virus’.
This is the first of a series of new releases for 2009, and what better day to start on than Liz’s Birthday!
‘Computer Virus’ is a live favourite. Anyone forced to work with computers will know how evil they are and this track is Electroflex’s response to Kraftwerk’s ‘Its More Fun to Compute’. It is a bouncy number with a serious bassline, sing-along chorus and a selection of curious samples.
The track will only be up on Myspace in full for a short time. Alternatively, visit us on: Facebook - www.facebook.com/pages/Electroflex/36946086635 iLike - www.ilike.com/artist/Electroflex
