ABOUT THE BAND: The EK1 sound is very full, very professional - and very funky.
The band plays a unique blend of classic soul and funk melodies with modern dance grooves to guarantee a good time for everybody on the dancefloor.
EK1 is well-known for its high standard of musicianship across the board, and for the fact that the band refuses to run through the same set list night after night. Perhaps it is for these reasons, as well as for its staying power, that the band has forged its confident live sound and enjoyed a loyal following as a result for many years.
Indeed, EK1's THOUSANDS of live performances in many types of venue make the band A TOTALLY RELIABLE FIRST-CHOICE BOOKING for wedding receptions, private parties, public events and festivals, corporate and civic functions, bandstand shows, pub gigs - and a number of hand-picked annual fundraising performances for charitable concerns approved of by all members of the band.
