Thank you!! I would've searched it myself, but I wasn't sure what to search and I only have half a brain today after this past week. And no, you didn't just help me with homework or anything. The question randomly came to my mind today, I forget how.

And thank you!! I will stop by tomorrow. I'm sorry, I wasn't there at all last week cause I was at Outdoor Ed with Valhalla.

I just think it's wrong that those students gave the whole protest a bad name. But I guess that's what happens when a few students come up with a good idea. There always has to be the small percentage that only views it as something to get them out of school.
  • Mar 22 2009 12:55 AM

In the beginning of it all, I believed it was a pretty legitimate "walk out/protest". When a few kids realized that they had the chance to ditch school, many just left. I think it all turned bad when the kids saw the mall and decided it would be a great idea to run through it. I didn't think it would get as bad as it did though.

Lol. I'm sure that will go over well in my class of about 20 people where I am easily recognizable. Maybe if it was a large lecture or something, but as it is I'd have to live with that for the rest of the semester. And I'm sure you get the Van Halen comments all the time in your classes ; )
Have your seniors started to read 1984 yet?
  • Mar 18 2009 1:18 AM

Especially college professors. I'm sure that will go over well with him.
    Thanks for the suggestion

Anyways, this video reminded me of you:

Very true, I know plenty of people (here especially) that are quite intelligent, and yet they just cannot find the time to do any homework. Mostly because they have better things to do (i.e. playing video games, sports, etc.). Oh well. Such is life I suppose.

I am glad to hear you are all doing good. I am jealous of the Wii at any rate. I have yet to use one actually. A bit depressing when I think about it since even my parents have. Haha. Oh well. I am sure it is all muscle. From what I hear, those things make you move around quite a bit, so it would be typical for you to gain some muscle with it.
How is the book coming along?

I am really missing your English class now. That class was intelligent (for the most part at least). My professor here is great and everything, but because it is a requirement G.E. course, there are some really stupid people in here. I am certainly not Shakespeare, but I was peer reviewing in my class, and quite frankly I am surprised some of the people spelled the word "the" correctly. Much less used it correctly in a sentence. How do these people pass high school English? That said, how are you doing? Still a lot of people failing in your classes? I hope not, if nothing else for your sake. I would think it is more interesting when you have students that participate and are able to provide intelligent points.
How are things going outside of school (I am no longer your student, I can ask that now)? How's your wife, pets, etc? Any fun trips coming up that I can envy?

  • Feb 18 2009 2:18 AM

We're you trying to reference Hamlet's character for his nature to overthink his thoughts? hmm, Mr. Johnson, you don't seem to be much of "Hamlet".

lol. I also feel a little paranoid to talk to you on Myspace. Knowing that you're an english teacher,I'm suddenly worrying if my grammar is okay.
    haha! :p
  • Feb 16 2009 8:40 PM
