El acou junk is an improvisational trio of acoustic guitar, percussion, and MAX/MSP-based computer instruments. Their disparate cultural and stylistic backgrounds make the music distinctive creating a style that is antagonistic and beautiful, sparse and dense. The ensuing confusion is palpable and delicious and whether completely improvised or planned in advance, the music buzzes with the frenzy of rock, the passion of Spanish influence, the intellect of electronics and the thrill of invention.
Just minutes ago, I was wondering if my fingers and hand articulations were not showing signs of early arthritis. Now, I know it is because of a bad nail that grew at the wrong place. While listening to your music, I put the trash (or the bad liquid) out of of the right finger that hurt me so much since this morning. I had to write two exams ! Slowly, but surely, it is getting obvious that I was over my head into drama ! But, your quiet..and..gulp...sometimes really dramatic music put me in the right mood to do the job. So, in a sense, you made my day ! Thank you !
