    Hello Dave,

    Thank you for writing and your concern.

    It all happened so suddenly. Carolyn and I were planning to go to the grocery store when she began stating that she had a very sharp pain in her back and then she said the pain had shifted to her heart area. 911 came very quickly, fortunately, and it was in the ER checkup that her left leg went numb. Further tests revealed what is called an aorta tear and they did an immediate procedure called an aorta dissection. This operation lasted around 8 hours.

    Our concerns now are that Carolyn is not responsive to verbals and is still on an oxygen machine. An initial Cat scan revealed nothing, but another was ordered for tomorrow. She is still in very serious condition and we will not feel assured until she fully opens her eyes and responds.

    Please pray for her and pass the word along to everyone there.

    PLEASE READ: Attention EVERYONE -- Carolyn is curently recovering from major heart surgery due to a tear in her aorta. She underwent a lengthy all-night procedure and is stabilized but not out of the woods yet. She is presently in ICU and we are awaiting her to awaken from the affects of the anestehsia. Any question feel free to write me, Mark, or Gary. Her parents are up here now in Madison. She needs your prayers right now VERY much. If you would like to send flowers or any Get Well wishes they can be addressed to:

    Carolyn's going away party was fun, but how weird is it that Mudd is running karaoke adn Jee Bee is the pregnant one? Faces at the Elbo may stay the same but sometimes switch places :)

    Haha, that would be me, (RJ)... same person who always did it. ('cept Carolyn's slide shows and comments and such). The whole staff participates in the slide shows, now! But rest assured, there's not going to be any decrease in Elbo Room website love.
    Now, I'm off to the Elbo to take some new pictures and sing some tunes! Come join me!
