Opening for the first time, the live mics, El Break has been on air since 2006, going on strong for two years and a half. Here you’ll find anything ranging from having a conversation about politics to what’s going on around our very own city! With its diverse group of radio personalities, each individual brings a different spice to what we call EL BREAK.
El Break consists of 8 group members:
Sayra, Diali, Luis, Tony, Obed, Nuvia, Gaby, and Laura.
Community outreach...
Since we started in 2006, we knew that our main priority and goal was to not only work together but also make an impact in our community. Working together with many social groups such as: CPLC, LULAC, MECHA, WALTER CRONKITE SCHOOL @ ASU, MANO A MANO UNIDOS, NO MAS MUERTES, AMERICAN DREAM FUND, has helped us achieve our many goals in reaching out to the community in positive ways.
Accomplishments
Giving out more than 500 scholarship packets to any student in need of a better future.
We have given close to $1,500 in scholarships ourselves.
We held a youth strike that brough national attention to the very controversial DREAM ACT.
Going across the border to provide the less fortunate with food, clothing, and hygiene products.

Halloween! Frock & Roll and Radio Phoenix present a show like you've never seen! Over a dozen of the best local bands playing while local fashion designers showcase their wares on zombie models... Treasure mammaL is the MC... Costume contest... The Rocky Horror Picture Show at midnight... Did we mention Zombie models?
