el Camino

Bio:

The Swedish band el Camino has since the beginning back in the winter of 2002/03 been a tool for the expression of booth music and thoughts. The music has always been the primary with a call to compose heavy music that isn’t limited by either genres or other unwritten laws. The shaping of el Camino consists of cultural, musical, occult and historical elements

With the ambition to create their own musical form el Camino drew up the guidelines in the winter of 2002/03. In the beginning the ideas where many but after a while things started to move. The result could be heard as a form of rockmusic with strength and elements of both hardrock and doom. Over the years has the activity in the band been shifting, very early the band recorded the own produced demo 2003. This was followed by a variety of gigs at festivals and pubs to 2005 when yet another recording was made, however this recording was never officially released. However, some of the songs have been available on the band's myspace. After this, the band drifted into something of a stupor where productivity faded and only a few gigs were made.

In August 2008 the band's original drummer AR decided to leave and go ahead with other projects which resulted in MJ joining the forces of el Camino. With this came new efforts and willingness to go through some older material and rearrange it with some new writings. In September and December 2009 the band made their first gigs in nearly two years and under December the same year Hobo Rec..s studio, Jonkoping was booked. During some intense days & nights with the supervising of Ulf Blomberg at the Hobo studio the Satanik Magiik was nailed and digitalised. The Satanik Magiik is presented as a digishaped mcd with a total running time of 24 minutes. Doom infected rock with the focus on the darkness around, within, over and below..
