Influences
There are really too many to name - we come from all over the musical spectrum, from The Velvet Underground to Muddy Waters, from Dollywood to Joy Division, from Jonathan Richman to Johnny Cash. The list goes on and on and on...
Sounds Like

The El Caminos are Chuck Donovan, Armin Heurich, John Saylor, George Kobas, and Emelie Peine.
Chuck and Armin met in the summer of '05, and have been playing together ever since. They alternate on lead vocals, Chuck primarily plays acoustic rhythm guitar, and Armin primary plays electric. In the summer of '06, John Saylor from The Purple Valley joined us on bass, and George Kobas joined us this fall, playing mandolin, slide and lead guitar, and guitar synth. Then, Emelie Peine joined us in the late fall, and our practice space needed even more sound insulation! In December of 2008, we shed a tear and said goodbye to Emelie who headed out to Cali. She was replaced by our good friend Curtis Kretz, who also plays with Teacher's Lounge.
Our musical interests are fairly diverse, and our sound could be described as Alt Country, Cowpunk, Rockabilly, or whatever our mood is at the time. Fun and boot-stompin', at any rate!
