El de Gloveo was born a large baby some place in Northern New Jersey, in the dead of winter, weighing in at a hefty 9.5 pounds, and a cranky, yet curious child from the start. To be precise, which is neither his forte nor predisposition, it was 5:30pm at the shank of that winter evening or at least that what his mother said. She was a gentle, kind woman who warned all the other women in his life, all that she could at least, “don’t try to change the boy!” She’d carry on: “I’ve known the boy since his birth, and you are not going to change his heart, mind or soul. Don’t take that on, it will be to your regret”. Few listened. In the schoolyard he held his own. His large birth weight did not translate to great body mass in the following years. But no one on the playground ever question his fierceness, or for that matter, his compassion for another soul. He liked baseball and could scratch out a grounder with the best of them. And he knew a kindred soul, when he saw one, instantly. He still can. Somewhere along the line, music grabbed him right, exactly where he was alive. It has yet to let go. Chuck, Jerry, Gary US Bond, he was listening to them when he needed a crayon to mark the A side of the record because, as yet, he could not read. Is anyone really following any of this? I certainly hope not. In the years in between, he drank a lot, made some money, and just came around to this place where he’s baring his soul, musically, as he may, can or will. I don’t know about you, but I can’t get three sentences into one of these “artist’s” profile raps without reaching for some aspirin, or something stronger. So look, you either dig the vibes or you don’t. Who really cares if he was a fat baby, could field a grounder, or if he’d been, generally, goofing off for twenty years? Whatcha hear is whatcha get! He’s not a bad cook and he cleans up well, but he don’t own no pajamas.
"Cocaine spiders run your memory on down, I'm thinking of you babe on my way out of town, Five shots to go on a six shot run, I'll stay my story true back to where I begun..."
How are you babe? you been so quiet lately. Did you get a new laptop? How's the inspiration, have you written anything lately? Lotsa questions :) Miss ya x
They ask me how I feel And if my love is real And how I know I'll make it through. And they, they look at me and frown, They'd like to drive me from this town, They don't want me around 'Cause I believe in you.
They show me to the door, They say don't come back no more 'Cause I don't be like they'd like me to, And I walk out on my own A thousand miles from home But I don't feel alone 'Cause I believe in you.
I believe in you even through the tears and the laughter, I believe in you even though we be apart. I believe in you even on the morning after. Oh, when the dawn is nearing Oh, when the night is disappearing Oh, this feeling is still here in my heart.
Don't let me drift too far, Keep me where you are Where I will always be renewed. And that which you've given me today Is worth more than I could pay And no matter what they say I believe in you.
I believe in you when winter turn to summer, I believe in you when white turn to black, I believe in you even though I be outnumbered. Oh, though the earth may shake me Oh, though my friends forsake me Oh, even that couldn't make me go back.
Don't let me change my heart, Keep me set apart From all the plans they do pursue. And I, I don't mind the pain Don't mind the driving rain I know I will sustain 'Cause I believe in you.
When The Night Comes Falling From The Sky (Bob Dylan)
Look out across the fields, see me returning Smoke is in your eye, you draw a smile From the fireplace where my letters to you are burning You've had time to think about it for a while.
Well, I've walked two hundred miles, look me over It's the end of the chase and the moon is high It wont matter who loves who You'll love me or I'll love you When the night comes falling When the night comes falling When the night comes falling from the sky.
I can see through your walls and I know you're hurting Sorrow covers you up like a cape Only yesterday I know that you've been flirting With disaster you somehow managed to escape.
I can't provide for you no easy answers Who are you that I should have to lie ? You'll know all about it, love It'll fit you like a glove When the night comes falling When the night comes falling When the night comes falling from the sky.
I can hear your trembling heart beat like a river You must have been protecting someone last time I called I never asked you for nothing that you couldn't deliver I've never asked you to set yourself up for a fall.
I saw thousands who could have overcome the darkness For the love of a lousy buck, I've watched them die Stick around, baby, we're not through Don't look for me, I'll see you When the night comes falling When the night comes falling When the night comes falling from the sky.
In your teardrops, I can see my own reflection It was on the northern border of Texas where I crossed the line I don't want to be a fool starving for affection I don't want to drown in someone else's wine. For all eternity I think I will remember That icy wind that's howling in your eye You will seek me and you'll find me In the wasteland of your mind When the night comes falling from the sky.
Greetins from very very east Texas, hey partner how goes it, all is well round your parts,im a just gonna go and have me a cup of mud and take a wee listen to yer tunes ...Rick.
