- FOLK (and its sub-genres. Y'know - techno-folk, folk metal, hip hop folk, banjo rap...)
- METAL
- CLASSICAL
- And everything else that isn't pants.
...and if it involves pianos and strategically placed string sections, I'm instantly in love :)
Movies
If it makes me giggle, I'll probably like it.
If it involves fantasy / interesting concepts, it'll probably catch my interest.
If it's got Dylan Moran, Simon Pegg, Jack Black, Ben Stiller or Will Ferrell in it, that's generally a good sign :) But horror is definitely for the LOSE.
And hurrah for Studio Ghibli!
Television
Generally - anything remotely silly. British comedy WINS and South Park and suchlike aren't too shabby either. I am still in mourning for Dermot Morgan and do intend to go to the Father Ted Festival in Ireland in the not too distant future. Oh yes.
Books
"He's weird." said Asphalt.
"No," said Glod.
"He's wound up by some strange compulsion that leads him through dark pathways."
"Yeah, weird."
Heroes
YOU. Perhaps. If you're one of my beautiful beautiful friends or family or Dylan Moran or Uncle Bulgaria or Bill Bailey or similar.
It's not long until our mini tour with Eureka Machines, hope you can make it along to one of the dates!
18 June - London Fighting Cocks 19 June - Mexborough Civic 20 June - Huddersfield Parish 21 June - Derby Vic Inn *with JAMES WARNER PROPHECIES + RUGOSA NEVADA*

Hey Elly, great to have met you at the weekend, we loved both gigs. Hope the journey back home wasn't too dreadful. The sun really does shine in Cornwall - sometimes. Jamiex
Great to have bumped into you at Exeter ~ your talent/age ratio is exceptional ~ hope I can be as good when I get to be so young [Me= 'Benjamin Button']
Wishing you in all the right places at all the right times ~ may fortune smile on you
hope y'all okay and enjoying the weather on this lovely WEDNESDAY(!) afternoon :]]
some news for yous. TMH are through to the Bloodstock Battle Of The Bands FINAL on Saturday the 16th of May at the Rockhouse [formerly First Floor] in Derby!
we are all super excited as it would genuinely be a dream come true for me/us to play bloodstock but the judges decision is of course heavily dependant on how much of a crowd we draw so we really do need your support more than ever *puppy dog eyes*
if you only ever come to one TMH gig then please make this the one. even if rock or metal isnt your thing, please come along anyway and support me and my band because it would honestly mean so much. besides its something different and it would be fun to hang out and get messy!
as you are probably aware we are auditioning bass players at the moment (apply within) but our previous bassist Stu is filling in..it is the last time you will see him on stage with us so its going to be a pretty major night for us..would be nice to have you there
thanks and muchhh loveth.

Poem cum song 2 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog):
WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN
Once drove an old sedan, up north,
From a place in Sydney to Cairns;
Then to Kuranda I went forth,
By train, to look without set plans.
I browsed through the trendy market,
With fresh fruits of tropical kind;
Walked to the creek through lush thicket -
Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.
I dined in a scenic cafe;
Then, outside, as I wrote for yen,
Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey,
You go walkabout with your pen. "
Request or question, I don’t know -
Assured voices, elderly men.
That’s now several years ago,
And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.
Oh elly, you do look bloody marvellous in that video! Its a really cool song as well. Hope to catch you guys at a concert when I am back in the summer! Hope you are well xxx
How's you? Not seen you for aaaaages... trust all good - happy very belated birthday... call in for tea sometime - we miss seeing you popping in (and helping out!) TTFN, Bob x
