Eleanor Kleiner is a singer/songwriter, originally from New York. She started her vocal training at the age of 14 under the instruction of classical singer, Lauri Shemaria. After high school she spent a year studying at the Mannes School of Music, in Manhattan. During this time she began developing her personal style of songwriting and started performing at various local venues. In 2004 she relocated to London to further her growth as a musician. She spent two years studying at the London Centre of Contemporary Music, expanding her vocal abilities to encompass a new and more soulful style. In 2005 Eleanor founded her band, The Whispering Tree. In this new context her songwriting and unique vocal style come to life with a captivating blend of soulful folk and country. During her time in London , Eleanor has worked as a professional session singer on projects such as the 2005 West Asian Olympic Games and the 2006 Asian Olympic games. Her voice has been broadcast across China, India and Japan to an audience that numbers in the billions. She also appears in Kenneth Brannagh's film adaptation of 'The Magic Flute.' More recently she has broadened her singing and songwriting into the realms of electronic music, joining 'The Random Spike,' their debut album will be released August 2008. Eleanor has a warm and engaging persona and an honest style of singing and performing. Her vocal abilities range from country music to classical and her talent as a songwriter make her an artist to look out for in the coming years.
