    Great! See you then!
  • Oct 22 2009 3:50 PM

Ok awesome -- there's a 10:00 showing that might work out best... the other showing is at 7:30 but we'd have to drive there and find parking, etc., and it might cut it close and I'd prefer to avoid all that stress. And that way we could eat beforehand and just buy our tickets when we arrive right away so that we don't need to worry about it being sold out. What do you think?
  • Oct 22 2009 2:00 PM

Hell yeah! We are going to go see A Serious Man on Saturday (I might try to talk Jason into a double feature with Bright Star if we go in the morning) at Amherst... but if you guys wanted to go see A Serious Man with us, we could wait until the evening to go see it. But either way, yes, we're down with Saturday night!

"...I legitimately started shaking and freaking out just seeing the images." (<--- what Myspace cut off from my comment)

Oh my god. Ok, guys, I can't stress this enough. PLEASE go see Paranormal Activity in the theater ASAP. Preferably (seriously) this week before it opens wider, when there are still sold-out shows and long lines and crowded theaters. It's like an amusement park ride -- a total spectacle. We tried to go to the 7:45 showing last night but it got sold out when we were standing in (the longest ever) line. So we bought tickets to the 10:00 showing and saw Zombieland beforehand (which was really good, actually, and pretty funny. Not quite Whip It good, but super entertaining and fun). Then, when we got out of Zombieland, we found out that (surprise) the 10:00 Paranormal Activity was sold out too (but it's ok, because we already bought our tickets). The line to get into the theater extended back into the mall. A guy even offered us $50 for our tickets (we considered taking it but we had already waited around so long just to see it). Once inside the theater, managers and staff had to keep coming in before the show started to kick people out who had bought tickets to different movies and then sneaked in. It was ridiculous. Anyway, the trailers are 100% accurate. I've never had an experience like this in a theater -- jam packed, people murmuring the entire movie (but not in an annoying way... just cause everyone was SO on edge). Everyone was literally screaming in the theater. I was one of them. It was the scariest thing I've ever seen. It's important to let yourself get into it and not just keep thinking that "this is just a movie"... because if you actually get into it, it could be the most horrific movie you'll ever see. Anyway, I beg you guys to go see it while it's still packed and sold out (and get tickets online first though!), and definitely see it at night. (I think Hadley has a Tuesday deal too.) It's worth it. I was telling a co-worker about it today and then she watched the trailer online and I watched it over her shoulder, and I legitimately started shaking and fr

Hey! Can you guys chill this weekend? I beg you, my lovelies. We are in need of some M+J to compliment our M+J. We are going to Hartford to see Bright Star tomorrow night, and Jared mentioned that you both want to see it, so you are, of course, welcome to come with us if you want. Or instead, or in addition to, either way, we also have a copy of Antichrist that we can enjoy in the comfort of our home on Saturday night if you are interested. Love you guys!!
  • Sep 13 2009 10:35 PM

Hey, so tickets are $15 in advance or $18 at the door -- if you want, we can pick them up for you before hand and you can pay us back then, or whatever, it's up to you. Also, we had an idea, if it works for you guys: Jared could ride his bike home after he gets out of work, and then, when we get out of work at 5:00, we can go pick him up and come back to Easthampton and meet you at the Manhan or at our house, or whatever is easiest. But that way, Jared would still get to ride his bike, but we wouldn't need to wait until after you're out of work, etc. So just let me know!!!

P.S. Nadal lost today, pretty embarrassingly. 6-2, 6-2, 6-2. The score doesn't reflect how close the match really was though -- he had a ton of break point opportunities and just couldn't convert ANY of them... he lost all the important points and Del Potro just didn't... Really sucks. Not quite worth rushing home for. I hated watching it. Anyway, nice seeing you dears this morning!!!! See you soon!
  • Sep 11 2009 4:47 AM

Yes, yes! We shall see you at 9:00 AM on Sunday at the Green Bean!!! :)

And as it is now technically Friday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY MICHELLE!!!!

  • Sep 7 2009 3:47 AM

Hahaha, good back-up plan. I like this idea of a future world where people reconnect and communicate via tattoo meet-ups.
  • Sep 4 2009 7:59 PM

Hahahahha, yeah, I want to do it too. But I don't remember the date either... getting a tattoo that says "June something 2057" has a certain nice ring to it...
  • Sep 2 2009 3:10 PM

Hey we miss you guys! When can we see you??!! :)
  • Aug 23 2009 2:10 PM

Yeah, I cannot wait for you to see it. I can't stop talking about it. It has simultaneously made me LOVE movies and also ruined movies for me, because I can't really imagine watching anything else after seeing that, except possibly other Quentin. I just want to go see it over and over. And by the way, the Christoph Waltz guy who won best supporting actor at Cannes is insane. I think he's the greatest character Quentin has yet created. He is so charismatic and awesome that like, even though we had no idea who he was when we went into the movie, literally as SOON as he was on the screen we were like "oh, this must be the guy who won at Cannes"... he's incredible.

I would post my scene-by-scene synopsis of Inglorious Basterds here, but I fear that Myspace's character limit would get in my way. So, instead, I shall type it up, on a typewriter, of course, and send it to you via the United States Postal Service. You should expect it within the next few days... hopefully before Tuesday, so that you know what to expect -- which is the most ass-kicking Tarantino movie ever, more brilliant than I could've hoped for or expected, and entirely consistent with his catalog of work. I don't understand how a human body (i.e. Quentin's) can store that much genius in its head, let alone in a two-and-a-half-hour-or-so film. Omg.
  • Aug 21 2009 4:25 AM

Awesome on all accounts!! I'm so excited for you to start. We should make some awesome movies on campus there. See you guys tomorrow (tonight)!!! :)
  • Aug 20 2009 6:31 PM

    When do you start classes??!

And also, this is SUPER random, but I figured I'd run it by you. Jason and I are going to go see Juliette Lewis at Pearl Street in the small clubroom on Saturday, Sept 19... do you guys have any interest in going? It's like $15 per ticket. I am super pumped to finally see my dear Juliette, and she always puts on a strangely intense show. You guys are welcome to join us if you're interested. She's recently split with the Licks, so I'm not sure what to expect. But I hope it's cool anyway.
  • Aug 20 2009 4:16 PM

HAHA -- yeah, that's a good idea. "Jason, dear, let us run off together and become windswept by love and passion and this oh-so-insignificantly-but-coincidentally-timed movie premier with Johnny Depp..."

Ok, see you guys then!!!! :)
  • Aug 20 2009 2:10 PM

I know. It's freaking insane. Normal clothes make it look like we're on a date. Heheheheh (maybe we were...). I have the picture framed on my desk at work and everyone thinks its hilarious that I came back from my honeymoon with a photo with another man. I also put it on my nightstand, I couldn't help it. Now I just need pics with Johnny Depp and Billie and my life will be complete... I'll get right on it!

Yeah, lets hang out on Friday. It's no big deal, Jason and I will just go see Inglorious Basterds on Saturday. I'd rather see you guys when you're free than keep missing you for another week! So Friday it is!
  • Aug 20 2009 4:52 AM

Hello! I missed you guys a ton. Haha, even though we were on our honeymoon (it was a really long vacation), every now and then I'd be like "hm, I miss Jared and Michelle. I want to play rock band." Which doesn't reflect on the honeymoon so much as on the quality of our rockband sessions. Anyway, we had an AMAZING time, I'm kinda sad to be back. Montreal was insane. All of the food was soooooo crazy (we got really lucky with picking places), and everything was a blast. The tennis didn't end as well as it started, in my opinion (Ugly Murray won the tournament), but whatever, HOLLA!!!! I got my photo-op with the hottest guy ever, so it's all good. We had the best time ever... I want to at least go back for weekends so bad... it started feeling so homey. Do you guys want to go see Inglorious Basterds on Friday? :)
  • Aug 8 2009 2:29 AM

THANX!!! I get to join all the cool married kids now.
  • Jul 22 2009 8:05 PM

Hey, I figure this is a shot in the dark, cause it's such late notice and all, but I know that a million years ago we were talking about the Green Day concert that Jason and I are going to on Friday and how you'd want to go if the tickets weren't expensive (they went up in price hardcore, which sucks, because they used to be $35 for general admission, and this time were like $44). But I got an e-mail today that alerted me to new last minute sale cheaper tickets for $25, and since it's not in the general admission part, there'd probably not be the onslaught of annoying pre-pubescents either. Anyway, here's the email if you're interested at all: http://www.concertstonight.com/may09_blasts/greenday_ct.html

    See you guys tonight!!! :)
  • Jul 20 2009 4:09 PM

Yeah, I can't wait for Funny People. It has the guy that I am practically in love with from Parks and Recreation (who I think is like the funniest person ever... the one Jared likes to play with on Rock Band, haha)... even if only for a brief cameo, it makes me very, very excited. And it just looks really good in general. Which Bruno scene was described to you? The "focus group" scene? (That one was funny.) The two-men-chained-together-in-a-hotel-bed scene? (That one was not funny.) As for Friday, I am, for this one time only, extremely excited to say -- No! We cannot hang out with you guys!!!! Hahaha, just because we are seeing Green Day that night (I'm so pumped). And Thursday I have a couple of appointments, but Wednesday is wide-open if that works. Otherwise, Saturday night or Sunday night would also work.
  • Jul 20 2009 3:40 PM

Hey, thank you guys so much for coming over and taking photos and for the Amherst card!!! :) It's awesome of you.

And also, (not as importantly but) for the record, I would like to report that Jason and I saw Bruno and Public Enemies on Saturday, and Jason now admits that he really liked Public Enemies and thinks it's a great movie (he doesn't call it a masterpiece like I do, but he gives it like a 9/10) and he had tons of complimentary things to say after he saw it again. So ha! I win! Heheheh. I wonder if critics had to see movies two times before reviewing them, what the difference would be... I, for one, actually thought it was even a million times better the second time I saw it, which is awesome, because I was afraid maybe it wouldn't hit me as strongly, but it totally was way better. As for Bruno, eh. Some parts were hilarious, but other parts were EXTREMELY painfully un-funny. Overall, not a good movie whatsoever, but definitely with a few laugh-out-loud moments. I actually think that Borat (albeit completely racist) is a much better "movie" (plot-wise, and fewer weird holes/flaws), but eh, Sasha Baron Cohen just doesn't do it for me.

And lastly, Jared inconspicuously left his tripod/Russian hat at our house, and we still have your dress. So that just means that we have to see you criggaz soon! :)
  • Jul 10 2009 1:13 PM

Great! We got you guys a little present -- just a Marilyn Manson song (Disposable Teens) on Rock Band. We also downloaded the Green Day pack, and it's cool. We played Disposable Teens and we were like "Oh... is this the one that East Jesus Nowhere sounds like?" hahaha, must be. Weird that they were both released in the same week.
  • Jul 10 2009 2:33 AM

Crap! Sorry, I just realized after I posted that -- I have my pre-bridal hair appointment (like, run-through thing) on Wednesday night... so either of the other nights are good still (I think).
  • Jul 10 2009 2:33 AM

That's all OK. Next Wednesday would be fine, except that I have to watch So You Think You Can Dance (my favorite has made it to the top 5 guys, which means he'll be on the tour, which means that I can drool over him in person, hahaha. I've gone reality TV nuts, but it's ok, it's fun) -- which is from 8-10 and then I have an obligatory two-hour voting period that I must partake in for the sake of my sanity. However, you guys are welcome to be here for that (haha) and we could do stuff before... or otherwise, we could do it on Thursday (but the show is on from 9-10... but minus the voting). Or Friday should be ok too.
