Jeff Ward - vocals, Electric and acoutic guitar, keyboards, piano -
Tom Gradante on Drums and percussion - Phil Defazio- piano - with
occaional violins by Jon Vomit and Audra Kubat
Influences
Everything rock 'n roll , except Elton Fuckin' John. My goal is be a combination of Woody Guthrie and Jane County , which is probably impossible.
Sounds Like
It's an eclectic mixture rock n roll - punk -folk -psychedelia- Comparisons have been made with many different bands/musicians-some make sense and others don't, I just add them as I hear them - Beck, Super Furry Animals, Donovan, Johnny Thunders, Love and Rockets, The Softboys,Robyn Hitchcock,The Doors, Syd Barret, The velvets, Stones, George Harrison, The Beatles, Lennon, Love, White Stripes, Ray Davies- Kinks, Elliot Smith, 13th floor elevators, early Bowie, Louden Wainwright III, Neil Young, my favorite so far is this 'a combination of John Lee Hooker and Rambling Jack Elliott'. Rufus Wainwright.
ElectraJet is a rock n roll duo comprised of myself Jeff Ward(vocals-electro/acoustic guitar/keys) and Tom Gradante(drums). I hail from Englands 'Black Country' near Birmingham, where I previously played guitar in a band called Gunfire Dance. After our breakup in New York City, I remained there, embarking upon a writing career. One of my novels is in print ( its called 'Mac & Beth', available thru Amazon.com).
'ElectraJet' (a word taken from a Ken Kesey novel) began as a solo project, home recordings on a old 8-track (actually 7-track) analogue reel to reel, relief from the typewriter! The resulting cd's were described by one reviewer as 'lo-fi hurdy gurdy music'.
During 2004 and 05, when Tom joined, we played regularly in New York and neighboring states, and recorded a cd with The Everyothers lead singer Owen McCarthy engineering and producing - you can listen to some tracks here....Enjoy.
Of late I've been back at the typwriter, with 2 manuscripts going out to publishers. I'm also working on a spoken word cd, and whilst in England recently I recorded 14 new songs.

Hey folks,
I have been working in an online video project that I'd like to share with you. I am trying to make an archive of videos that correspond to my audio experiments. Hopefully in the future there will be a full length DVD. Right now I am just looking for feedback. Please be so kind as to drop me a note or comment to let me know your thoughts. This will help me go further in the right direction.
I wish you all well.
If you received this in error. I am sorry for any inconvenience.
Kinds regards
Robert Pepper
