'THE WALKING SONG' was a live spontaneous stream-of-consciousness, created from a wonderful memory during a gig with ALTRES.
The other track I sometimes use as a signature piece -Jimmy Miller's 'ALL THE COWBOYS' - is a particular favourite for lots of reasons, and not just because I'm singing along in the background. Recorded as a demo with Ian Jones on one of those great spring days, when you believe the future is absolutely golden and sure. It tells a story of a life... I loved living. Once upon a time...

Other Business: There will be some gigs over the summer: with ALTRES @ Bannermans in Edinburgh 24 May. In June, a trip to Austin, TX and Albuquerque, NM with the Peyote Brotherhood, maybe something in July (like a dental appt or something) and then in August, The ELEMENTAL ARTS FESTIVAL in Argyll. Electra will do a solo set and a set with ALTRES 10 & 11 August or is it 11 & 12.. whichever starts on a Friday. Be there. (Oh SHIT that was LAST SUMMER!!!! I wonder what we're doing THIS summer... I'd better check my diary.)
Who I'd like to meet: If I can't meet Jimi Hendrix or Jimmy Page, I'll settle for Carlos Castaneda, 'Don Juan' and (of course!) The Medicine Man.
